New Casinos / New Chips Thread (4 Viewers)

Boston Billiard Club, been open about a year now, never been as there are closer options but I do follow their page on Facebook for any promotions maybe worth traveling. Apparently their tourney chips are hot stamped Paulsons View attachment 100359

So I'm guessed that minimum Paulson order is lesser than we think since this is a small room, I believe the tourney part only has about 12 tables
Yeah it's a small room I usually play at chasers or cheers if I go to NH never traveled here..I wonder what the minimum order is

There's a new mgm opening up about an hour away from me in august.i was going to grab a few racks of ones and see if there was any interest in here..

Best advice: If they are Paulsons, pick up a few racks. If they are so hideously ugly that nobody here wants them, take them back for a full refund. Minty chips are rare, and you only get one shot most of the time. (y)

I’m as unexcited about this as could be.
This place is only gonna have a 20 table poker room. I guesss I get it, since Foxwoods has it overba hundred tables and the Wynn Boston opening next year will have 90 tables.
But a small poker room in a casino that might be further from me than Foxwoods? I might never go.

I will only go there to purchase these chips and to return them if necessary.i live 40 minutes from twin river and about the same from the new Hampshire poker rooms..i will be excited when the "Wynn"opens or whatever it's going to be called

I usually get to Hampton at least once a month. If you play tournaments, we've probably played together.

Did you play the $250 Saturday?
You mean Sunday? No, not this month. I played the 90 on saturday, but it was the lowest turnout I've seen there - only 40 people - everybody was at seabrook for the derby

These just came out today. My degen buddy did a noon hour jaunt to check out the new casino. He sent me this:

He says the snapper is very purple and could easily be used for a $500. I can't comment on the spots exact colors, especially the $1. Not sure if the spots are black, DK blue or what.
If anyone is interested in a harvest, let me know. When I have time - whenever that is - I'd be happy to grab.

I thought the same thing. They really missed the opportunity to take advantage of the new half circle spots. Seems to me, with all the dark tones the h/c spots would have really popped with the casino logo.

Most of the time, the GPI design staff picks the actual base colors and spot patterns.

Casinos don't have chip design personnel, and usually just request generic colors when they order (white, red, green, black, purple, yellow, etc.). The GPI artist then selects the rest, matching base colors to previous orders if applicable.

Inlay design is a mixed bag, but is usually supplied by the casino.

Maybe speculation but what factors into mold selection? More specifically why is THC so uncommon now...seems rare to see new casinos elect THC. It feels like every new casino goes with RHC.

Any chance of harvesting a rack of the $2.50's?

I haven't seen anyone post anything about these beauties.
The Chip Guide says this place, Casino Q, opened in March 2017 in Dubuque Iowa.
Anyone around Dubuque able to harvest a rack?? I'm happy to pay a nice fee.

I would also pay a nice fee for a rack of these

The closest, according to the PCF map, would be @IaHawk , 60-70 away. After that, you're at about 90 miles to @links_slayer ,@Trihonda ,@HanShot1st , and @BukNaked36

I was just in Dubuque 2 of the last 3 weekends, not sure when my next trip up that way will be. Shoot me a message with details and I'll see what I can do. I see they have a tournament on Sundays, maybe it will be an excuse to check it out!
