I inherited a poker chip set, what is the best way to determine the value in order to potentially sell? They are unused from a now closed casino.

(Paulson, and a full set but I will get the numbers and quantity shortly)

Already sounds expensive. People here will give you good pricing. In a private offer they might try to low-ball you, but not in this thread.

Unless you've stumbled upon something crazy, mint casino paulsons are probably worth somewhere between $1.50 and $4.00 per chip.

I'm learning as I go tonight so bare with me. They are mint PCA secondaries, 350 @ $.5, 300 @$1, 200 @$5, 100 @$25, and 50 @$100

So, Again,, as a noob - outside of the knowledge they have never been used, so do I just put up examples of them to show that they are Mint/near mint?

Post pics and auction...the market will tell you what they're worth.
Ok, that makes sense. But I would like some Idea of what to ask/look for

Lol. I appreciate the info. Although I am going to stay away From craigslist lol

If you post pics here you will get a pretty close value. If you want to sell them...... an auction in the classifieds section will tell you exactly how much they are worth.

You will likely get more bang for your buck if you sell them in 100 chip groups (racks). I.e racks of 50c, racks of $1, etc. in that capacity, you could fetch $300 to $400 a rack. Not likely to fetch those amounts when selling the set as a whole.

Search through the classifieds to see previous sales... from memory, you’d probably see something along the lines of...

$300-$350 for 100 x $0.50
$165-$210 for 100 x $1
$400+ for 100 x $5
$300 for 100 x $25
$140+ for 20 x $100 (1 barrel)

If mint...

Your $0.50s I believe are primary. The rest are Secondary based on pic.

Also you cant post something like that on here without atleast a casino name......... lol were a bunch of chip nerds and already all fantasizing about what super rare casino chip they might be.

Edit

Never mind saw the pics....... nice chips

Mint PCA chips are typically in high-demand around here, and usually command high prices. ^^That's a pretty accurate market assessment for peak prices imo. Around $3,000 total or so for the 1000 chips, best-case:

50c - $3/ea
$1 - $2/ea
$5 - $4/ea
$25 - $3/ea
$100 - $6/ea

Based on the less-than-optimum breakdown (too many 50c chips), you'd do better financially by selling by the rack (100 chips) and half-rack (50 chips). As a whole, the set probably wouldn't sell quickly for three grand.

Before anyone else says it.......... I'd gladly buy the 25s and 100s. Lol

The 5s would sell super fast too.

The other denoms would sell, but might take a couple days.

I promise If I break it up I’ll give those of you who are interested first shot at them. :) still debating but have a good idea of what I want out of the total. Deciding if it is worth it to break and potentially be left with a lot of extras.
