Awesome brush for cleaning chips. I have this brush that came with mink oil for conditioning/oiling baseball gloves and it has super fine bristles and is the perfect size and shape for softly cleaning chips, it gets in the lip grooves really good, you don’t need a ton of elbow grease, more about a nicely positioned swipe.. 
Definitely my go to for any spot cleaning… wouldn’t want to do an entire set, but might be helpful for hard to deal with groves like these sharp horsies.
