I was shocked you only had 3 racks of chips for a $5/5 game! I would have guessed you need at least another rack of $5’s & $25’s and another barrel $100’s as well just to be safe. Is the game short handed normally?

I got another rack of $25's in play and I have another rack of $5's + more hundos too. That was just to start the night. Ended up with 8K in play but none of it coming my way tonight. In for $1200 - out with $600 :(

5/50 for O8, 5/75 for Omaha, 5/100 for hold’em

I’m curious why you play a bigger spread limit game like that? My experience playing 5/100 Omaha I hate it cause once the pot is big you can only bet $100 into a $500 pot or something unlike PLO. I’m used to preflop opens for $40-$60 with 4 to a flop every hand in this game. Maybe your game plays smaller?

This is not my game - I just host it now. I joined a group of guys that have been playing together for 10-15 years. The host moved and they asked me if I could host it. I would much prefer regular PLO.

Last night was our annual Crazy Christmas tournament.

It's a $5 NLHE rebuy tourney, but if you win a hand with Santa Claus (a red king) in the hole, you draw a special chip from the bag of presents. You might get chips added to your stack, you might get a free look at an opponent's card, or you might have to trade stacks with the player next to you or go all in blind on the next hand.

It's a fun game that the group really enjoys every year. Turnout was on the low side at nine players, but it was still a blast in spite of being card dead and busting in sixth.

Lol sounds like we’re on the same page. I’m guessing it’s probably a good lineup to play in though?

@Gear looking very Santa Claus-y

Beard looking good!!

Thanks! I suppose I'm going to have to acquiesce to the universe and start looking for seasonal gig work. I've resisted because I'm too young to be Santa ... that's what old retired guys do in their late 60s right? I'm 44. Sigh.

Sadly, I doubt he'll work for milk and cookies....

Apparently you don't know me that well ;)

44 metric years is 60 American years!
