Getting ready to play cash game with @v1pe. Thanks to everyone who bought my starburst so I could buy more lakeshore quarters from @ReallyGoodUsername so he could buy more chips from....and so on and so on.

@ReallyGoodUsername you need post in the shipping tips and tricks thread on your 200 chips in flat rate envelope. Brilliant.

I played in a pretty high stakes game that used these chips too. I also hated them but loved cashing them out!

I built the table for the host of this game several years ago. Nothing but compliments until about a year ago when he bought these chips. He told me there was too much padding under the felt and that was preventing them from stacking the chips. :ROFLMAO:

Happy they got their safely @Potsie1 and the SFRB in a FRPE in a FRPE is in the thread somewhere already (where I got it from) but doesn’t hurt to post again. That and the regional rate boxes are two underutilized tricks that work great. Looking forward to home game pr0n!

P.S. will sell my first born for those $1s & $5s! Awesome set :)

Beauties in play during our annual Christmas season games, finally cleared a 6 month card dead hurdle and booked a nice winning session.

So it seems I have a new whale. After beating him pretty soundly on Monday we met up tonight to square up. Had dinner and a few drinks and he challenged me to a heads up game. $1/2 PLO. It took less than an hour to take his $300.

This pic is from last Saturday when we started playing heads up during the tournament. I forgot to take any pics tonight.

1/2 at the Athenian Owl Club last Saturday, 7-handed (divided by 5 at the bank, so .20/.40:D)
In for 550 (or 110 Euros), cashed out with 750 (ie won 40E).
Host's bourbon-belly in grey, to be seen next to the BB yellow button.
Poor pic from my best man's phone.

This particular turn scared the sh*it out of everybody, and nobody dared steal:LOL:
Can't remember the outcome - I was sent the pic today.
Cheers.

My Tuesday night group tends to have slightly lower turnouts close to the holidays, so we do a couple of fun games at the end of the year. Last week was our Crazy Christmas tourney, and yesterday we did a heads-up tourney. We had nine players and used the following format:

- Starting stacks of 5K, blinds start at 25/50 and double every 6 minutes until 800/1600 (target match time is 30 minutes, and this works well).
- We do five round robin matches and rank players using W-L record. Ties are broken based on the highest ranked player defeated.
- The top eight players go into a single elimination bracket. Finals winner gets first, finals loser gets second, and the two semifinals losers play for third.

It went very smoothly and everyone had a good time.

I was 2-3 after the round robin so made the cutoff, but was eliminated in the first round. I had a tough time winning flips and lost two matches after getting my stack in with a dominating ace and seeing my opponent's kicker on the flop. :banghead:

Sorry, I failed to take pics, so I'll do double duty if I can get my Christmas cash game to go off next week.

If they are already into gaming (and the pic with the game shelves indicates they might) poker should be a very quick learn.

Yeah, my oldest enjoys board games and has picked up poker pretty quickly. We've been playing games since he was 4 or 5.
