Official Home Game Pics Thread! (97 Viewers)

No pics as I was too mad to take any. But I played a home game with my in laws friends last night. low buy in of $50 (thank God when you hear this).

2nd hand of the night:
Hero has 99
Board comes As9s5c. I C-bet and he shoves, I call. Villain turns over Jd8d.
Turn Qd River 10s. Straight. I bust out.

3rd hand of night:
I buy back in. Next hand hero has 10d10c
Flop comes Ks 10s 5c. AGAIN, decide to get it all in to price out flush and straight draws (maybe not best strategy), so I shove. Villain calls and turns over 3s 5d, everyone laughs.
Turn 8s River.... a spade. Can't remember which one at this point but it did NOT pair the board. haha

4th hand of night:
I missed as I'm buying in again and taking my time, same villain gets put all in by another player. Board is Q77, there are a lot of raises, re-raises and finally they get it all in post flop. Not Villain turns over Q7, Villain turns over 22. Turn comes 2 river comes the other 2. The guy hits friggen quads! The guy sucked out three wins from way behind in a row and ended up being big stack all night.

He sucked out a couple more wins against me and others (you wouldn't believe me if I listed all the hands) until I decided just not to play against him anymore. I was in position on him for the entire night so thankfully I could get away. The guy ran hotter than anyone I've ever seen, and he only had the best of one guy before shipping it all in the entire night, was always playing from behind and just couldn't lose. Literally the worst player I've ever see suck out that many wins. I ended up breaking even mostly because everyone got so tilted with this guy, luckily I kept my head on straight and realized I was playing ok, I just avoided the maniac.

Yes, this completely sounds like a r/thathappened moment, but it really did.

Have you played with this guy before? Almost sounds like a mechanic/hustler kind of scenario.
I didn't want to be the one to say it, but this crossed my mind reading this as well. Did only you lose to him badly those three times, or did everyone else too?

It’s funny you guys mention that. never even thought that would be the case because the guy is worth $50+ million. But the more and more I think about it that doesn’t matter. Sometimes bragging rights mean more than money in those types of circles.

I’ll ask the other guys about it but the general consensus is he’s the worst player at the table. It was my first time and no one said anything like “this always happens to him”. It’s was more disbelief than anything.

and now that I’ve gotten this far typing I should mention one thing, they had a dedicated dealer, so it’s even more unlikely. Unless there’s ways to manipulate that. I’ve never been in a home game with a dealer before. The fact the dealer and the entire group would be hustling me is out of the question, I’m the young dog in the group and these guys are all minted, I could never see them do anything like that. And yes they had bad beats too

but it did border on unbelievable, to the point I’ve left out other hands because I thought you guys would think I’m a bullshitter. Haha

EDIT: Don't let me de-rail thread. Back to pics!

Pokernight, single table touenament followed by cash game where my hmk-chips got put to play for the first time. I'll be nice and say we had a bunch of rather inexperienced players tonight, because there sure was a few head scratching moments, haha. Or what do you say @Mr Winberg?

I'm not gonna disagree!  I played my weirdest hand ever, I'm still puzzled by it. Perhaps I'll post one of those "play a hand with me" threads? :-)

A great poker night, thanks for organizing it @HMK! Loved your new Sunfly chips!
