Was going with the Cali hot stamp theme. Had the chips ready to go, and then a couple last minute cancellations. Do you guys have problems with that? It seems like every week it’s a struggle to keep everyone committed.

Yep, had to shut it down. And then it was about thirty minutes later TWO of the no-gos said they were back in. Tried to get it re-started, but a couple made different plans after I canceled. I went straight Rocky IV and I threw “the damn towel.”

What a fun night! Thank you guys for having me. Those mix games are weird, but fun. Sorry I sucked so much at them, was trying to keep all the rules straight lol.

EDIT; Except Lazy Scrotum. That one rules.

Well, I just learned it yesterday. But, it is:

- Everyone gets dealt 5 cards
- Bomb pot, everyone puts in an amount equaling the big blind
- Flop is dealt
- Everyone gets to discard between 0 and 5 cards
- You MUST use all the cards you keep in your made hand. If you keep 1, use 4 from the board; if you keep 4, use 1 from the board.
- Bet like normal, turn and river like normal.

It’s a complete, delicious shit show.

So the low light of the night. The game is down to me and my guy. I have the chip lead. I raise pre-flop with 6/7o. He calls. Flop comes 3/7/8 rainbow. He bets.......I call. Turn is a 7. I got trips. He bets.......I go all in and he calls. He turns over 4/8o. River comes and of course.......he gets the 8. FML :banghead:
 
This weekend we continued our trek towards game 100. Decided to risk the weather with burgers. Sure enough, it did downpour....after the burgers were done. Thank goodness! Sides of broccoli salad, potato salad, crackers or bread with cream cheese and home-made pepper jelly, individual (i.e. COVID friendly) chips, and pirogis with cheese and sausage. I guess veggies were not quite the top of the list.

Desserts.... tons of them, including home-made M&M cupcakes, donut type things, Lil' Debs, key lime pie, and home-made brownies (from his grandmother's recipe).

They are a great to hang out with. When I was there, we drank well, ate well, ate some more............had a few more drinks, and played some poker. Oh, and the conversation was pretty good !
