Is that a starting stack of 18,000 in chips?
Yeah. It's a 20k base, but we take a smidge off over 6 players to always make it end at the same time every Monday. Can't go all night due to work for everyone.

1-6 20k base 20min blinds
7-8 18k base 19min blinds
9-10 17k base 18 min blinds.

We normally have a few rebuys too, so as small as it seems, we rarely go past Midnight. Before the small changes, 1am could happen and we started losing players who had to work at 6am. We have fiddled with keeping the 20k and doing rebuys that slowly lower the more ya go, but this system seemed to work better.

Suuuuuuuuper gnarly! Great in that line up :cool Are they live chips? Harvestable?:D
Thanks. They are live but I wouldn’t say they are easily harvestable. Last I checked, the casino was closed during the week and only opened up Fridays and Saturdays. And that was before covid. They would not sell chips at the cashier and there’s no poker — gotta harvest from the craps table and table games on the weekend. Sharp chips were pretty rare when I put this rack together. Took me a few stops at the state line to get it done.

This past Saturday was Ladies Night, an event I host once per year. This was the first year with two tables (thank you COVID).

In recent years, if a significant other wishes to attend, they can, so long as they under stand they will be serving drinks (and playing a separate game).

The "funny" story this year was that I was making carnitas as the main course. I had sautéed the pork and gotten everything in the pressure cooker.... for 10 minutes. When I walked by it, all power was out. Dead. So we quickly had to figure out how to cook a pork butt in about an hour and a half without pressure. Turns out if you dice it small and essentially braise it, it works out just fine!

The better story is that I took down the tournament!
