This past Saturday was Ladies Night, an event I host once per year. This was the first year with two tables (thank you COVID).

In recent years, if a significant other wishes to attend, they can, so long as they under stand they will be serving drinks (and playing a separate game).

The "funny" story this year was that I was making carnitas as the main course. I had sautéed the pork and gotten everything in the pressure cooker.... for 10 minutes. When I walked by it, all power was out. Dead. So we quickly had to figure out how to cook a pork butt in about an hour and a half without pressure. Turns out if you dice it small and essentially braise it, it works out just fine!

The better story is that I took down the tournament!

Congratulations @Mrs Poker Zombie of course you took it down!! A stone cold poker playing killer in disguise behind your fantastic charming and friendly putter shell! Lol we haven't met yet but you guys are our kind of people!!

Was @Poker Zombie banished to play solitaire in another room? Has to be hard not to play with the limited number of games running these days! Fantastic write up and thank you for sharing! Hope we can meet across the felt someday soon! Take care and stay safe.

Your chippin buddy Ben

In this case, PZ was joined by 3 spouses. They played a cash game of 3-hand Hold'Em and brought us drinks on demand. They also took care of color-ups. It was a nice hosting break for me!

It's Monday. You know what that means....

In for 50, out for 120 with Bounties. Not my strongest game. Wasn't getting great starting hands and had to bluff a bit more then I like. But, happy with my second place chop.

Mixed 43mm in play today in our cash game. Our group absolutely loves these. The AS $100 is so beautiful when in play - and such a bargain as well. The Cincy secondary $1000 is also a super bargain for mint 43mm blaze orange chips. The Cincy $5000 is my favorite grey 43mm that I’ve had here. I just love that big peach spot!

I'd totally be into this game of those denoms represented $1 $5 and $10 lol

With ~1 million on the table, you'd think you guys could afford some better cards, no? :ROFLMAO:

We used to use Modiano Platinum's. We didn't like the way it interacted with our crappy cloth  :ROFLMAO:. They would stick to the surface when the cards were brand new.
Other than initial impressions I'm sure the rest of the crew is only worried about what shows on the face of the cards :)

I'm still in awe of that "felt" :ROFLMAO:

Yes something needs to be done about this at this location. We play way too much to use this garbage, lol.

I need a custom topper, but nothing elaborate as it'd be too cumbersome. Just something like a PCF topper with custom graphics.
