HSI run good. The group really likes these. The $5s are so nice.

I got to assemble the Bullenrunde once more at a friends house to ensure my wife and kids get some sleep.

My friend provided the space and I brought all the equipment.
€20 stacks for 10ct/20ct NLHE.

@Mr_Y3RAC agreed to join us as the only non-cop and didn't catch a hanger all night which probably was for the best.

However he jeopardized his chances to be invited back after stacking me with :ah::5h:
When I couldn't find a fold with :kc::kh: on :qc::5d::5c::jd::7s:.

Some impressions from the night.

Nothing like getting the Isle of Capri and the Flamingo set in play at the same night!
We got to play some 30ct/60ct mixed limit games when we were down to 7 players.

That is a 66" table I built for a poker buddy over 10 years ago. Plays nine very comfortably. A bit of a reach to the middle but everyone helps push pots and cards.

Time for a new felt, lol.

Makes sense...I was trying to figure out how 9 fit so well. I have played on 58” and also finishing my round out, and 8 was tight for some for us American fed, husky, big boned guys. We need to invite a couple of petite females to make it fit better. Haha

AND HERE I GO AGAIN. F*CK.

Wanted ad coming soon!

Healthy at the first break. Lost 3000 when K5 two pair < rivered straight, but almost doubled up when I pick up K10 suites UTG five ways in a limped pot. Flop came JQK rainbow with one of my suit. I led out for 1/3 pot, two callers. Turn came a nine to give me a straight plus a redraw to a flush. I somehow ended up in position here, a 1/3 pot bet leads out, call ahead of me, I raise to a full pot bet, both guys called(!). River was a brick, leading bettor shoves, next guy folds, I sigh call for the second nuts and we're good!

5k above average stack at the end of the rebuy period. Flopped two pair on an A 10 Q with two diamond board. There's an all in from the short stack to lead out that I have covered, I raised to 2.5 times to isolate the player left behind, player behind folds, I was ahead the whole time with villain having 9's and I river the boat to ice it.

Color up!

Took down 2nd. The eventual winner ran red hot all night and by the time we got to heads up play, he had me by a 4:1 margin. I shoved any face card and any suited card and eventually got caught speeding.

Oh well. Mentally it was a good night for me. After my two pair on a pretty dry board got cracked early, it had the feeling of the same old shit of the past two months when I was on a really bad run, but I was able to win a few nice pots to cash and gain some valuable points in the league standings.

Next game is in three weeks, first time I'll be having some of the NJ PCF crew over and my local guys at the same time over for a two table spread. One table fixed limit dealer's choice games and the other table NLHE to appease the boring people :wtf:

Two sets I've never felted before will also make their debuts, which will make the night extra special.

One more random shot from tonight's action; just a nice splashed pot shot of the set:

Was one of those nights. Started with a $40 bounty tourney (unlimited re-buys until first break) where I made a miraculous comeback win and then finished out with one hell of a cash game for 25c/50c, complete degenerate play and I love it.

In for $140 ($40 for tourney and $100 in cash), out for $634.50 in profit. Had to throw in some pics of some of the night's hands.

I freaking love this set way more than I thought I would. Guess it helps when the cards come your way!

Ended up 9-handed for our weekly tournament tonight! For once was able to take a moment and get a shot of people and not just my own chips. ;)

Didn't end up cashing anything tonight, after having all of QQ, KK, and AA lose to varying degrees over the course of the night. o_O Don't recall all the details but: Flopped top set with the AA hand, betting was aggressive but kept getting calls (yay, value!), straight draw came in on the river explicitly for QT holdings which until then had not paired, I get it all in and sure enough, villain rolls over QT. My max 1x rebuy done, lets go! Later my in position KK raised pre and got two callers, board game AT9 I believe and they start betting sizably; my stack size was either shove or fold so agonizingly I elected for the latter, though ended up right when they showed down AT and Ax. And lastly the QQ was what got me knocked out- I was relatively short stack 6-handed and shoved pre, called off by AKo, board ran out clean until they binked the K on the river. Womp womp.

Great night! Made back some money playing some cash after. Also, my buddy grew a 3rd hand for this picture, and it's amazing.

Went from 7 confirmed to 11 players at the table. Pretty good night. Finally got the MS chips in play. Got an early near double up with Aces against Kings. Made most of my money with pocket kings, 3 bet to $17.50 from the big blind, got 4 callers. J67 rainbow flop. I continue for $40, got 3 callers. Turn was a blank, I jam for just over $100, got a call from a short stack with ~$15 left behind who had AJ. Clean river gives me the win. Was really surprised how many people came along, but worked out for me in the end!

That's a pretty impressive dog house!

How did the wife do?
She doesn't play, maybe once in a blue moon with the right group.

When wifey is out of town... Haha! I just have to put the table away, move the couches back, and hide the chips . She doesn't mind me playing since I'm usually a winning player.

Very quick trip to Lost Wages - drove up Fri noon, left LV Sun morning - basically stayed at a buddy's condo next to Circus Circus and played 4 way the whole time.

Here is Dickey's BBQ prior to starting. Cheapo table topper to go along with the cheapo sluggos, haha! $100 buy in, plaques were just for show/fun, yellow chips for markers/legs, dice to help reduce positional advantage (when we're playing friendly friendly, we'll use dice to simultaneously declare actions - e.g. how many cards we're drawing or keeping, etc).

In for $100, out for $150. Was doing really good until Pineapple Omaha my second set (9's) on the flop ended up getting rivered by a double flush draw that hit and I lost about $220 (he doubled up on me) I think... Was too bummed out (i.e. traumatized) to remember to take a picture.. lol

Btw, we stopped by Resorts World on Saturday for lunch and 45 minutes of mechanized/digital craps. I went to two different places in the food court and was told that they could Not make something non-spicy - one chicken place had a spicy chicken sandwich and another had spicy bbq pork and spicy peking duck burritos. I got the impression that all those places were under some kind of orders or policy/ies that they weren't allowed to deviate one iota from their menus - anyone else had that experience? I probably won't go back there...

Funny thing on Saturday night, there was a fatal T/C right in front of my buddy's place. Sorry, the fatality from the accident wasn't the funny part, the funny part was that we had Ubered some food and the driver couldn't get into the place so my buddy had to go outside to meet up. After he got the food, LVMPD (who apparently had seen him come out) then wouldn't let him back in (LOL) and he ended up paying the driver some extra $ to take him around the back and had to hop a few tall fences (with the food) to get back in. I think he was gone for like 25 minutes or so and he had to take a breather when he finally got back to the table (but wasn't so tired that he couldn't double up on me - yes, same hand that I mentioned earlier)... :D
