It's Monday. You know what that means....
Where is my Josh Kifer commemorative T335 chip?An unusual starting stack for our next tournament.

The next event we will induct a new member into the Zombie Poker Club Hall of Fame. This year, the honoree selected the T25,000 to be immortalized on. As such, every starting stack gets an extra T25,000 chip added to the T10,000 stack.
This creates a couple problems, and hopefully, we have found the solutions.
To prevent the night from running too long, we will start the tournament at level 4 (Blinds of 100/200, followed by 125/250).
Each table will get 2 sealed tubes of chips with T25,000 in change. Need to break that big green, no need to call the floor.
Hoping this works. It's also looking to be our biggest event since 2015, despite still observing COVID precautions (playing 6 max, masks encouraged).

The dreaded half/half tourney structure.Tournament using cash denoms?
Are you guys musicians?
You and @Poker Zombie are more than welcome to adopt me for one day. I mean, look at all that glorious food! This past Saturday was our Hall of Fame game, where a player was inducted and we acknowledged the achievements of 2021.
To start.... PZ made two stews (the one on the right was hot). Sides of roles, cornbread (both "standard" and jalapeño), mac 'n cheese, mashed potatoes, veggies, humus (3 kinds), popcorn, black-eyed-peas with chow chow, pistachio fluff, salad, and chips and dip.

Three desserts - pineapple upside-down cake, donuts, and a sort of chocolate cheesecake ball thing.

I kicked us off with last year's achievements then handed the floor to PZ. He had folks raptly paying attention (minus the girl on the left that was late and cramming in food).

Then it was time for our newest inductee to give his acceptance speech. We happen to know he'd been worries about it for ages. He did an excellent job and it was the most words I've heard in a single session! I appreciated the complements he gave back to PZ and I as well as the club.

Then we got goin with poker..... and I frankly forgot to take any more pictures. Which is a shame, because the final two were our tallest and shortest players heads up! Ah well.

I am capable of playing the piano...some...however, that music stand is a remnant from when I was asked to facilitate several training sessions and I let my leaders know I needed an easy-to-move "lectern". Later down the road, they didn't have any need for it and we've used it since then. Are you guys musicians?
That's cool! I never had any of those fancy stands. I only ever had the chrome fold out / fall apart style, lol!I am capable of playing the piano...some...however, that music stand is a remnant from when I was asked to facilitate several training sessions and I let my leaders know I needed an easy-to-move "lectern". 2022 Cornhole league champs lolSuper fun Sunday game at @WhiteMamba1646 ’s place this afternoon. Dealer’s choice cash, with some blackjack and cornhole mixed in. One of the more fun games I can remember playing. In for $220, out for $636.

I think this is a T800 chip if that helps.Where is my Josh Kifer commemorative T335 chip?
That print of chip molds on the wall is really neat! Is that sold anywhere, or did you have that made?
Short story: it was a gift. That print of chip molds on the wall is really neat! Is that sold anywhere, or did you have that made?

Awesome. Thanks for sharing!Short story: it was a gift.
Long story: Redbelly's Crown Jewels . It's a long read, but one of the most interesting (and important) stories in the history of chipping.
Feel free to PM me if there are parts of the story that don't make sense. What was common knowledge in 2014 is a lot more obscure to people new to the hobby.
So you guys put everyone into a food coma, then take advantage of their tired states, sound strategy! This past Saturday was our Hall of Fame game, where a player was inducted and we acknowledged the achievements of 2021.

My group is the same way. When I let them choose what we’re going to play with, 9 times out of 10 they’re picking a Bud Jones plastic set.Maiden voyage for the card mold giraffes. The crew likes this more than my other sets!!! Go figure

I’m going to have to not go with with they say or I may save a lot of money n the futureMy group is the same way. When I let them choose what we’re going to play with, 9 times out of 10 they’re picking a Bud Jones plastic set.
Even if we have only played once a year, it was always a pleasure for me to set that game up as profesional as I could. I hired a dealer, bought chips with my own design (cheap little plastic crap that will be replaced with better chips asap) and so on. Next on the list are chairs. Then better lightning in the bar as the bar isn't really used anymore except for my poker games. Then new chips or a better table. Even if the stakes are low and we're planing to meet once every two month, I just love to get this as profesional as I can.Nice table for only playing once a year for cups.
