Had a blast at @TricycleClub ‘s place tonight. Took second in the plo tourney on his Arkham solid set:

Then dealer’s choice on his best ever mixed RHC set was a blast (with a little horse racing game mixed in):

Casino's are mostly mandated to have two sets of chips on hand (what denoms differ). The primaries are put in play, the secondaries are kept in a vault in case any of the primaries are compromised and they need to use alternate chips.
Ahhh, OK.

So in this context, does that mean those are chips from an old or existing casino?

You wouldn't be able to get secondaries from an existing casino. So it either means a casino that closed or never opened (like jack Detroit where they ordered the chips for a rebranding but decided against rebranding).

Keep an eye on The Chip Room (https://www.pokerchipforum.com/forums/the-chip-room.21/)
And you may be able to get some Paulson's for the cheapest they will be available the next time he finds a hoard to sell us :)

Hahaha. We run 7-9 every Monday. Always got 1 seat open normally. :)
I too struggle on the 9th! Even when I have 9, I sometime manage to have a jackalope not show, putting it back to 8, LOL. I like the 9s though! This past Friday was a 7. My 2 best reg.s couldn't make it - 1 guy really sick, 1 guy out of town with his girlfriend. 3 buddies from prior game - one just being lame, one sick, one date night. Yeah from the 8 before I only had 3 in this game, myself included. And the 2nd guy was a very late tab in...he was also sick early in the week. So yeah, happy to hit 7! And got a new guy in, so here's hoping he'll play more. He won the whole thing, so he owes us at least 1 more game, hehehe.

So we play no matter what. So even if we get five, game is on. But it ranges from 7-8 normally, to 11 on busy nights.

3-bet aggro player with 99 and he comes over the top. I flat. Flop comes 9xx and he bets 3/4 pot, I shove, he calls and rolls over AA. I hold. Weeeeeeeeee!

Using two different decks (Kem Arrows and Modiano 4 PIP) was kinda tilting. Didn't seem to bother anyone else.

Ended up with almost half the bounties (field of 16 + 2 rebuys, I had 8 bounties) and a 5-person last longer bet for another $20.

I was the chip leader with 4 left, 2nd place knocks out the other two stacks and we're close to even in stacks. Cards go dry and I can't hit a board. Finished 2nd.

The screw in the felt is tilting me more than every other photo you posted.

Congrats. I don't think I would play in this game even if the buy in was gifted to me.

I was just telling @Jonesey07 that its a soft seat. Plus, it makes you appreciate the efforts of those who put together a good space to play.

And this game is in Macomb County... No way you could play in that game on a Wednesday night.

It's (was) Thursday, you know what that means!...

My first live poker game since March 16th 2020

The wife & I need to continue being very cautious of covid, so playing a full ring game is not an option for the foreseeable. However I did feel comfortable enough to finally host 3max OFCP game yesterday. Was really great to have some folks over to the house, learning a new game together, and to FINALLY get some Nakatomi Chips in play. I went for Card Molds as I could give each player a matching rack - my THCs don't allow for this, and my OCD wouldn't have it any other way.

I broke the 'new chip curse' and run hot for most of the evening booking a solid win.
I even managed to make Fantasy land 3 hands in a row with AA up top, then QQQQ, then again with 222 up top :cool
