I owned a set of this, I like the feeling of the card and shuffling with it is a joy but sadly my group and I can’t do the Jumbo 4 pip.

Biggest complaint is they always mixed up the red 6 & 9 when reading the board and also it just too busy
That is a fair point on the 6's & 9's

Well the Paulsons definitely brought the run good, as I hit quads. In for $25, out for $103.50, which is my highest home game cash to date, and we got $362.50 on the table, which is also the most our little quarter blind game has ever gotten out. Slowly but surely getting people more comfortable with bigger dollar amounts, I wouldn’t be surprised if next year we starting running some .25/.50.

This month marks one year since I roped a bunch of friends into learning how to play the game, which quickly spun into a weekly Saturday game of tournaments and wild mixed cash games. Started with .05/.10 micro cash and are playing .25/.25 regularly now that ends up with anywhere from $500-1000 on the table  :ROFLMAO: It also marks just about a full year on PCF for me as a result!

So naturally, we’re throwing a little “anniversary” tournament today. We were hoping to fill 1.5-2 tables but had some unexpected unavailabilities, so it’ll probably be one full table but still a great time with a bunch of smoked meat and other good food. Can’t wait. Cheers, PCF home gamers!

Congrats on your game's success! I'm in a similar position - it was last September when I first converted a few of my friends to regulars in my monthly game. We're playing tonight :)

Good on you! I love playing smaller stakes. But when most of my potential playing partners are other (splashy!) PCF members, it's sometime hard to find those who are, shall I say, a bit more restrained... LOL.

I travel to Austin now and then. Have a son who lives there. Also @nlhenerd hosts regular games in downtown Austin. Let me know if you might be open to adding a traveling player or two every now and again. And I'm hoping to eventually get a small stakes game going here in north Houston as well, if you ever travel over here.

I feel that. We have a lot of players in our rotating cast that are social gathering first, poker players second, and I think they are at a happy medium at .10/.25 - and I won't complain at all, because we love to host. But some of the longer time players, especially ones that have played in casinos or card rooms before, definitely have a higher tolerance and wouldn't mind a splashier game now and then.

I am actually originally from the Houston area and even 12 years later still have my 832 number - I'm in the area all the time for parents, friends, and family. Would be both happy to have travelers over and to stop by when I'm in town if the schedules line up. We host on average every other week based on my wife and my's schedule or when we can get critical mass.

Lol I was chasing 5's fives and got in trouble. Call when no fives showed and fold when they did appear. 5's were running crazy tonight.

Can anyone explain to me why I can't use the image icon to upload pictures? I can only attach photos and then insert.

Super premium horse race game board arrived this week. I believe a few of my regulars are hooked on it now. We warmed up with a few races, played poker for awhile, raced some more when some late players replaced some early leavers, and finished with a few more hours of dealer's choice. Added in some quarters from another set for the horse race break which worked out pretty well.

Last night's game has was filled mostly with my n00b friends I recruited a year ago playing .50/$1 limit Hold'em. There has been progress since a year ago as we played .25-$5 spread limit Hold'em, pineapple, crazy pineapple, but mostly Omaha!

In for $40 out for $35 - wasn't getting paid on my big hands, and I made a bad bluff.

This actually wasn't the feature cocktail...it was an Amaro Manhattan I made later.
