It's Saturday, you know what that means...

Does your crew buy black tshirts in bulk? Even the guy with the hoody has a black tshirt underneath.
Haha didn’t even notice that. Mostly all digital nomads, and location independent individuals. Packing light and living minimally is part of the lifestyle. That includes a couple simple black t shirts , can be dressed up or down

Had a small after Thanksgiving game with a few co-workers last night and it was so much fun again! Got some of my newer TRKs into play and others that have never hit the table before which felt great.

We played with $5s, $10s, $50s and $1000s (used as $100s). Small tourney style game, starting blinds 5/10. Didn't expect the game to go so well for me, but it went really well. Ended up placing 2nd out of 5 of us, I'll take it. These chips looked so good amongst each other. Will definitely be using them more in the future.

Then, of course I had to play heads up against @Fynnysh! This is starting to become a tradition every time we play or when he's back in town from school. Got the Desert Sands TRKs into play for the 1st time after owning them forever paired with the Wilbur's $20. $1/2 to begin and blinds escalated into play. The last time we played he took the dub, but this time, I TOOK IT! Let's GO!

Always a blast getting to see him and getting to get chips into play with others!

Had a nice 4 handed dealer choice game with the family. Ran pretty good until my mom hit a royal flush! Me: "Let me guess, you have a royal flush". First time I have ever seen one in a live game.

Big Grove Brewery started right down the road from me … about 10 miles away. Good stuff.

I was at a wedding last weekend in Des Moines and some friends recommended it. I made my parents from Iowa pick some up and bring it to Wisconsin for the Thanksgiving, along with a dozen Donut Land Donuts.

Game broke early. We were only 6 handed to begin with, but one of the guys ducked out early to finish some work. Then this happened...

Flopped the flush with an open ended straight flush redraw, and I binked it.

My first live straight flush ever. I got checked to on the turn, I bet small, small blind called. I hit my gin card on the turn. I checked after being checked to. The river paired the board. I got checked to, I bet $4 into a pot of $6ish, I got reraised to $12. I shoved, got snap called and didn't even wait for him to show his cards even though I could have waited.

In for $50 and out for $121 on the cash game, in for $30 and out for $0 on horse racing after the hold em game broke.

Game over. In for $100 out for $232.

Learnings: Breakdown of the Ugly Bicycles is perfect for 25c/50c. Shuffle behind FTW! Gassers are great! Barrington’s too! Thanksgiving weekend might be an annual game. Great to have @Rbonus012 as always. Not a single “what’s this worth?” question, and minimal change requests with just 100 fracs and 320 $1s.

I really enjoyed hosting - can’t wait to do it again!

Nice! Just ordered a custom set with way too many fractions because my pupils are addicted to them, all start with a barrel. Going to slowly ween them off it. 18 of them, then 15, then PERHAPS 10!

I think 100 was perfectly fine but there are also over 300 $1s so it’s easy for a single player to call and grab a quarter or to for change if needed - it can be a nightmare if multiple players call and all need change.

I made sure to get ALL the fracs on the table with the initial buy ins, then did rebuys and add ons with $1s and a few $5s and eventually just $5s, which I think helped as well.

I’ve been trying to get a local monthly match to do this for awhile now. my league adopted this years ago, so nice, shuffler is not in the way of the dealer now.
We started with one deck and 5 players and added the second deck with 8. The transition into using the second deck and getting the rhythm down took a few hands but it was pretty smooth sailing after.

Shuffled and cut decks ready to go as soon as the previous hand ended!
