Shit show of a tournament tonight, you can't win 'em all . . . 15 players, out 9th.
Very interesting dynamic: one never-played-before beginner, my wife, a friend whos fairly new, and the professor and his 16 year old kid. 16 year old watches streams and knew the lingo but launched a lot of silly bets, he was clearly better and more aggressive than my average player. Definitely changed the table dynamic and had money moving more than usual with them two there but its still baby stakes. Caught him bluffing near the end of the night while I had bottom pair on a ridiculously wet board, was very proud of that three, and lost straight over straight to the professor. Wife was the big winner! Felt good teaching the newbie and stretching my legs figuring out the kid's betting patterns. Thank you Elwood! Tournament is next Saturday, looking forward to it.
