A short New Year's and Epiphany vacation from expatriation back to Athens, means, at least, a game with my (by now, beloved) local sharks.

It's a .50/1E game, with buy-ins limited to 100BBs max, or half the big stack. This is to contain the amount of money on the table, since they usually play 1/2E among them, or even 2/5E which is the minimum table stakes in Athens' only casino:rolleyes:, clearly not addressed to any kind of "normal" Greek public, and clearly the reason of its assured eventual demise.

Two orbits of NLHE, one orbit dealer's choice between Pineapple and Cuckoo [three hole cards, one discarded upon seeing the flop, but the remaining two cards being mandatory to use], the latter being a personal invention of mine to avoid the dreadful [among socially related people] PLO.

In for 260E, out for 265E.

The ultimate tool of our happiness, very fast, cheap (80E cost, years ago) reliable and, interestingly, unanimously accepted by the sharks (ie instead of themselves shuffling).

In play, the venerable Athenian Owls V1

Edit: I forgot to mention that the originally "controversial" Non-Denominated Top Value chips, were vindicated as 50E chips.
First of all, they see a lot more felt time than if used as 100s.
Second and most important, they 're very handy at those stakes and with this crew, where everybody buys-in and re=buys using 50E bills. Orange-colored bills.:)
This is one of my favorite sets yet! You designed it?

First game since October (shame on me). Awesome time with @Ainton @Freudeus , our locals and the Mardi Gras!

I suppose you are playing cash with SEK currency, aren't you? At first glance I was counting in euros, a lot of €.
Very nice these Mardi Gras
Yes we are, it looks way more baller than it really is. It got fairly juicy for a 7-handed 20c/50c table though, with the equivalent of $1800 on the table.

Keep running good! :cool

My first straddle of the night:
I 4-bet $40 QQ and I was called by one pl.
Flop: KJ9 rainbow. I check-call 1/3 of the pot.
Turn: KJ9-T. I check-shove and I was called by AK. River: blank

I won BIG on a bluff and with 2 hero-calls river, but lost KK, QQ and TT in the last hour.

In: 150chf
Out: 377chf

Now that I have good relations with the guys of my buddy's crew, I will be able to take pictures of the whole table and hands played.
I'm already showing you this one from a nice guy which seemed to mean something to my stack.

Ran some .25/.50 NLHE last night! This was my first cash game in a while, and it went fabulous!

Forum celebrities @Gear and @Wifey were also in attendance, and it was just a treat for me to have them over for sharing of felt and good times, along with @chopper and @LotsOfChips . A few of these folks travel a great distance to attend my game in the sticks, so I am appreciative. I return the favor with great chips and tasty hot dogs!

I finally got my beloved Tiger Palace stamps set in play! Special thanks to @CDC and @kk405 , for helping me this last year to acquire the 200 NCV arc yellows that make this set really fly! I had no problem getting all 200 into play here! MOAR chips!

As far as poker goes, well, I fared okay, in for $145 and out for $240. I have generally run positive in cash games, since coming back to the game, but I’m a complete mark in tourneys.

SHIT! I got my River Rat cash set in play for the first time ever last night (my crew always wants to play tournaments), but I didn't take a single picture.

@Beakertwang and his son, plus @Joe Harris all made the trip to my humble poker room, and we had a blast playing circus games. I was exposed to Scrotum and some form of 4-card, double-board Pineapple. We loved them all. Well, except when we lost our ass in a game that confused us at first ;)

And the chips were a huge hit. These scrown ceramic hybrids are fantastic chips.

Andrew, did you happen to take any pictures?

Allyn saves the day! Thanks again for making the trek! I will definitely make the trip to your game one of these days, and now that a couple of my players have been exposed to circus games, maybe I can bring some extra players with me.

Great group! One of these days I hope I get the chance to throw cards with you.

My cash game today had 8 players but only ran 4 hours. We still saw some decent action. Craziest hand was Draw2maha, AKT diamond flush vs AK8 club flush in the hand. Don't remember what won for Omaha but it was a split pot.

Also the first time I've gotten a $20 Protege chip into a game.
