Came 2nd today in field of 32. Pics of tiger set in use for the doubters.

These tables are so silly the speakers in the middle can't be removed (except for one table). the table toppers only cover half the table lol.

Getting ready last night for a two table tournament my son was hosting.

I went a little overboard ordering these chips, but they are cheap enough that I thought I'd rather have way too many than be constrained on what I could do. I haven't been over two tables yet but I've considered adding a third for bigger tournament nights.

I'm starting to try to sort out what I'm gonna do for a cash set. I got the same here from Justin recently and those are nice. I added on a few stacks of some other cheap chips just to check out when I ordered the last of this tournament set. Not a fan of either of them. I know I should do something custom for cash chips, and I probably will get in on one of the next couple of group buys here.

Why are 25¢ chips always so ugly? I'd like a nice blue 25¢ chip. Maybe I need to start a thread just about that...

Friday nights game had a low turnout, 9 players, congratulations us for making the final table lol.

Chipping up a little at a time.

1000010968.jpg

Been seeing a bunch of these . . . Ugh!

1000010970.jpg

A bit more chipping up. We're 6 handed now, only 3 paid.

Finally ca$hed in 3rd (and collected high hand bonus), a pre flop shove wouldn't have worked on Curly but hate his post flop shove call. . .

Until next week!

Tournament Hand Breakdown: 4 Players Left (Bubble Pressure is High)

Key Details:

  • Blinds: 5000/10000
  • Players Remaining: 4 (3 get paid, so high ICM pressure)
  • Hero (Button): A♥Q♠, 120,000 chips (12bb)
  • Villain (Small Blind): A♣J♦, 150,000 chips (15bb)
  • Preflop Action:
    • Hero raises to 2.5bb (25,000).
    • Villain calls.
  • Flop:2♥5♦7♠
    • Villain checks.
    • Hero shoves 95,000 (remaining stack).
    • Villain calls.

Preflop Analysis

Hero’s Preflop Raise (Mistake – Should Shove)

✅ Best Move: Shove all-in for 12bb instead of raising to 2.5bb.

Why?

  • With 12bb, a raise-fold strategy is not viable.
  • Shoving maximizes fold equity and prevents opponents from realizing their equity.
  • ICM Pressure: A shove forces medium stacks to make a tough decision, avoiding awkward postflop situations.
  • By raising instead of shoving, you allow your opponents to see a flop and play optimally against you.
Problem: Your 2.5bb raise gives Villain an easy call. Now you must play postflop with only 9.5bb behind.

Flop Analysis

Flop: 2♥5♦7♠ (Low, Dry Board)

  • Villain checks.
  • Hero shoves 95,000.
✅ Hero’s Shove (Correct Play Given the Situation)

Why?

  • Your only option is to shove because checking would leave you with just 9.5bb and force a difficult turn decision.
  • Your shove leverages fold equity against Villain’s non-pair hands (e.g., KQ, QJ, J10).
  • You have two overcards, and some Villains might fold small pocket pairs if they are feeling ICM pressure.
Problem: If Villain has any pair (22-77, 88+), they are never folding.

Villain’s Perspective & Response

  • Villain has A♣J♦ on a board of 2♥5♦7♠.
  • Villain should fold.
    • Hero’s shove represents strength.
    • Villain is behind against Hero’s value hands (e.g., 88+, strong Ax hands).
    • Villain doesn’t have a pair or backdoor draws.
Calling with A♣J♦ is a mistake.

  • Villain has no pair and is only ahead of bluffs.
  • Bubble pressure means Villain should avoid big-risk spots.

Final Thoughts & Takeaways

✔ Hero should have shoved preflop instead of raising.
✔ Postflop, Hero’s shove is correct, but it’s a tough spot.
✔ Villain should fold A♣J♦ and preserve their stack.
✔ ICM pressure makes aggression more valuable than passive play.

Better Play for Hero:

  1. Preflop: Just shove 12bb all-in instead of raising.
  2. Postflop: If you raise preflop, you have no choice but to shove this board.

So I won the inaugural Super Poker World tournament but I left missing 5 @ T25 Luigi Chips. Can you believe that?? Some fuck nut took 5 fucking chips. The host sent out a message to all players looking for the chips and I followed up with a message saying I came with 200 T25 Luigi chips and I left with 195. I also told them I'll no longer be bringing sets of chips to play with until this is resolved.

5 chips isn't even a shuffle stack!

When the culprit is discovered, tie them to the stake a burn them like the witch they are!

It's been too long since my Casino Nacional set hit the felt as the few games I've hosted over the past year have been with all of my Club 72 members.

This game was all former co-workers (with a new guy too), and I was excited to get los Nacionales in play again!

The "Expect to win/lose about $40" has always been true for my Club 72 group, but tonight I had one player go through $90, another $60, and another added on for $50 more.

Got an orbit of $1/$2 stud in too:

One guy asked me about my Nacional set, and another asked about my other set. I got to show my Wilbur Clark Havana hundo, and explain how my set was made on the same mold that was used in the hotel's casino in the 50s. I also showed my Club 72 shuffle stacks.

Great night for me because I got to play poker AND "play poker chips." On top of that I ran hot - in for $10,000, out for about $23,000 divided by 100.

Lots of laughs and Palomas. Very swingy night. Added on after the second orbit after my top pair was bested by aces. Then ran it up, then went below my "in for" total, but won the last couple of hands to end up in the black for the night. Cut cards in tribute of @Eloe2000 's Ali like return to PCF

Grandpa handed down to me his old poker table that he and his friends played on together for many years. Last night we played our first game on his table since he passed away on February 13th. The wife even came out into the garage to join us for a celebratory cheers in his honor. Good Times was had by all!

Awesome! I really wasn't trying to be an ass. I've never seen that cut card before
After Mrs Zombie was diagnosed with breast cancer, we had a bunch made and donated the proceeds (roughly $2000 if I recall correctly) to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer foundation.

We strongly believe that poker is a family friendly game, so we flipped the C and the F so your 6-year-old wouldn't learn a new word.

Didn't realize that "Cuck" was a word. Really wished I hadn't looked it up while on a work computer.

Scum of the earth. Hope you find out who it was.
