I just poured this about 10-15 minutes ago and all I have done so far is nose it over and over again. WOW! The nose is phenomenal! Removing the cork for the first time pulled out a wave of fresh saltwater air and sweet peat. Very light smoke, very subtle.

After sticking my nose into the glass I get a blast of red fruits and salted toffee. The smokiness gets stronger but it’s sweet and not nearly as strong and in your face like it’s younger brother PC10. I kept getting additional notes each time I went back for a sniff…caramel and vanilla in perfect balance followed by brown sugar bacon and bbq. The cycle repeats and it’s all integrated and not one note is out of place. This is gonna be a treat!

Edit…This is absolutely fantastic! It’s rich, oily and delicious! Everything I get in the nose is right here in the palate plus a faint citrus and dark chocolate note that appears at the end of the never ending finish. It just doesn’t quit.

As I get deeper into the glass, I’m now getting a nice sweet campfire note mixed in with the finish. I’m reminded of a vacation we took to Jamaica when we sat out on the beach drinking by a campfire at night eating jerk pork and chicken. Great times!

By far the most complex whisky I’ve ever had…I’m probably missing quite a few notes but I’m hoping this will get even better as the fill level goes down.

18? Wow.....I haven't even heard of it. I love the 12!

Not sure how many of you watch Ralfy. Had family vacation to Scotland in September and stopped at the Bon Accord for lunch. The owner let us take pictures behind the bar, and gave us each a Ralfy Glencairn.
