Has anyone here tried Four Roses limited edition small batch? My local store has a few bottles, but at $150 retail it seems a little steep.
Went with a Stagg Jr (not $250 version) a store pick High West Double Rye and another Alberta RyeSo 4 Alberta Rye > 1 11.3

I’ve heard good things but I’ve avoided them. I would hate to love one and then never be able to find it again. What are folks thoughts on this?View attachment 639973

Well, my Costco had plenty of Buffalo Trace and Eagle Rare in stock. And another Costco is selling Blanton’s, so...yeah, at least Buffalo Trace products are a plenty right now.Are liquor reserves catching up?
Usually at my NH state liquor stores Buffalo Trace comes in a few cases at a time and sells out and I have to wait a few weeks to replenish.
Today I walked into my store on the mass/NH highway stateline and at the front entry was a Buffalo Trace advertiement and cases stacked . I can buy 4 cases if I choose.... what happened? I'm definitely not complaining, just strange how it went from a trickle to an ocean.
150 is an insane deal for 4rle. It's btac level juiceHas anyone here tried Four Roses limited edition small batch? My local store has a few bottles, but at $150 retail it seems a little steep.
Today’s haul: bought 2 of these 12y OBSV at $99, it’s one of my favorite recipes and I so rarely see any private picks over 10-11y anymore. I may go back for more, it’s fantastic. The 23y is teaspooned Glenfiddich juice finished in sherry casks, excited to see how it is.
The 2007 isn’t technically whiskey, but is damn delicious brown liquid for bourbon drinkers if you haven’t tried it, blew my mind the first time. View attachment 640036
Well I actually have the 2008, which I adore, been meaning to pickup a 2007 to go alongside it before they disappear haha. They’re incredible and hugely undervalued compared to whiskey. I like where your palette’s at Cam haha.Nice pickups. Find a foursquare 2008 to add to the collection. Thank me later. They make damn good rum and don't add sugar like the competition.
That Foursquare is a nice dark rum aged in bourbon barrels. Broke into a bottle last week with a buddy. Pretty good stuff. On the pricey side for rum though.Today’s haul: bought 2 of these 12y OBSV at $99, it’s one of my favorite recipes and I so rarely see any private picks over 10-11y anymore. It’s so good and so different. 100% rye, and super high proof.I helped him with that....

I probably gave away 10oz of samples. I had to share! Glad I got a 2nd bottle. But now the store realized what they had and raised the price by $40 on their 2nd case.
