This is my whisky of the summer. This stuff is soo delicious. Nose is straight up plums and mangoes. Palate is straight up plums and mangoes. Long finish of plums and mangoes.

@Saoliver did you try it yet? I want your feedback. I don’t know how a person wouldn’t like this.

I’ve been hearing similar notes. Like apricot etc. I can’t wait to try it

Well dammit just ask. I’ll send you some. I’m generous with my whisky, not with my chips
You’re too nice! But I already bought a bottle and it’s on its way to me from a friend who’s moving out here this week.

I won’t open it until Sunday night on vacation. But I’ll let you know.

I have a half full Knob Creek 12 yr that I haven’t touched in months. Had a pour tonight. It’s the perfect balance of sweet and oak. Hardly noticed the 100 proof.

Bourbon aged in level 4 charred barrels like WT. Then a second aging in a toasted barrel. Rye replaced with USA brown rice. This could suck or be really good? Retail $50. Keep an eye out.

The 12 is delicious, I brought a bottle on vacation a few weeks back, it almost didn't survive the duration (6 days, lol). I prefer the 12 over the 15.

If anyone comes across an extra white label Smoke Wagon UCUF PLEASE let me buy it off of you!!!

I'm pretty sure Smoke Wagon is better than any Buffalo Trace product I've had save the BTAC.

So get this.

I saw these glasses at wegmans for $50 for 4 pack. I said that’s too much.

I went on eBay and found them for $35 + free shipping. Seemed like a good deal.

I get the package in 1 day. It has prime tape all over it. I check prime and it’s $26 for 4 glasses.

so this guy sells on eBay just a little more than Amazon, and suckers like me buy it. He just orders it on Amazon on your behalf.

Honestly, that’s a great hustle. I couldn’t even be mad at him. Gave him positive review and I’m drinking up this sunk cost. Lol
That's called drop shipping and it's a whole industry complete with software and a huge marketing blitz. It's one of the main “work from home” schemes and actually a legitimate business. NPR has done reporting on it that was pretty fascinating.

Basically and internet arbitrage move.

Glasses look nice but I'm still confused why you leave so much room in it. Filler’ up!

sorry i'm not a big boy like you. I have several pours over the night, but can't do one big boy pour

I got really lucky a while back and found 10 bottles for a really good price while visiting a friend on a military base. :)

Is that one a single barrel? I wonder how much variance between bottles there is

Uncut and Unfiltered is blended by Aaron. He has said that there is no SW Single barrel that is as complex as UCUF

Usually, but not always, when a few barrels are blended, the combination of different profiles brings about that complexity. That does not mean, and I'm not implying that's what you meant, Single Barrels are of lesser quality as complexity is only one dimension in a whisky. What one usually can find in Single Barrels is uniqueness and a flavor profile that is more defined and unmatched by other barrels.

Got it. Will keep an eye out. Two interesting notes:

EC BP on the shelf price tag was $64, but rang up at $70. I bought one for me/trade/backup/whatever. That means the new retail on EC BP is $70. That's getting a bit pricey. I will certainly buy much less of it. Larceny BP, Jack Daniels BP, and Rare Breed are all cheaper and at least as good.

As I was waiting to see if anybody wanted a Blood Oath 7, a scumbag named Sam called the store. Asked how many were on the shelf. Reserved them all on the spot, and the store workers put them behind the counter, and gave him until SUNDAY to come buy them. I heard the whole phone call. I'm half tempted to send a "friend" named "Sam" to the store to buy them all. Hoarding mother fuckers can eat my ass.

paging my dealer @FDLmold im looking for blue spot, rr13, white and teal swucuf. Let me know if they have any
blue spot, the irish?

Was interesting, but yellow is better and red is more interesting.

I don't have any of those fancy bottles you all use sometimes, but let me know where I can find them and I'll send you a pour.

I like these a lot, especially at the price point. They tend to be hit or miss with bourbon drinkers who haven't been exposed to Dickel juice. I have a backup 2020 release and 2021 release, plus an open 2021 that I need to drink some more of. The one I'm really looking forward to is this year's $60 retail Dickel 15yr that should be out now or soon. It will be interesting to compare this to that.
The store manager that always steers me in the right direction seemed to think I’d like the BIB better. He’s been very helpful and his suggestions have been spot on! I will eventually try the 15yr if I like the BIB.

ECBP is also $70 here in NC and so is JD SBBP. Rare breed is $45 everyday and is clearly the best value IMO.
