Having some batch 17 right now. It seems older and more “sophisticsted” than the last few batches. Maybe it’s just me… or maybe some of the juice intended for GTS made it’s way into batch 17.
I’ve never really sat and tasted JW since I got a lot more into scotch. How do the mini compare? There is a box set of 4x200ml that I’ve been trying to find.Forgot to post this yesterday:
On the fifth day of Scotchmas, Johnnie Walker gave to me: 18 Year.

Curious which were your favorites? On the sixth day of Scotchmas, Johnnie Walker gave to me: Blue Label.
Also, I just realized that days 7-12 just repeat 1-6. So no use in posting those if anyone cares. Hahahahaha

All of them were good to great, and all very Johnnie Walker. We preferred the 18yr, then Gold Label, then Blue Label.Curious which were your favorites?
Congrats. How much Poor Man Pappy will you make? Run Antique, 12yr and PMP blind to see which you like best.
Haha, yes!! I love thisI have seen different recipes. 50% of each....what did you do again? I believe it wasn't an even mix.
You know I've been waiting a long time for this. I have had this PMP bottle for over a year now. Finally going to fill it up!

2 parts 12 year to 1 part 107? Or opposite?I thought it was 2:1. And you have to let it sit for a few months

With the new addition, this calls for a family photo. I have an open 107 as well, not pictured. Now I need to find the others!

Personally, I think if you're going to do it, do it once. Then have plenty of W12 to enjoy on its own. It definitely deserves to be tasted as Weller intended it.Yeah, that's what I'm going with. That allows 300mL of 12 with 450mL 107 to fill the bottle. I will be able to do it twice, but that will only leave me with about 3 pours of 12 to try on its it's own. I'm ok with that!

They also trap the vapors from escaping, you get a little more on the nose. And they have markings on them to help distinguish the glasses.
