For anyone following the response on the tax question was

6% KY Sales Tax and 2.5% City of Newport Alcohol Tax

so it sounds like for the 1/4 barrel (60 bottle) option the price would be

3000 x .06 = 180
3000 x .025 = 75
total = 3252

that comes out to only $54.20/ bottle including tax
that is cheaper than off the shelf when tax is considered.

again this is for a private selected New Riff single barrel bourbon
