How is it that a few drinks is equal to a half of a bottle??

Friggen grocery store today, kicking the liquor store’s ass. Bought nothing, but might head back for some of that CHEAP High West.

$42.99 for a KC select bourbon is practically stealing them. They’re $62.99 in NC and that’s IF I can find them. The select ryes are $59.99, so both are great deals. That’s the first bottle of batch 4 Alberta I’ve seen as well.

I’m gonna need another one of these.

I’m debating wether to get another one myself. They’re plentiful right now but that $130 price tag makes me hesitant. Guess I need to see how it opens up over the next few weeks to see if I’ll grab another one. So far, each pour has been better than the last.

I've got the 16, which is also pretty common in stores. But, the price tag is hard to get over as well.

I’d probably buy a 16 if I saw one lol
Literally all my stores have the 16; usually more than 1. Between $130 and $150. I took a chance on this one as I had no background info on it or the distillery; I rather liked it, but most of my regulars didn't. I don't like having expensive bottles that I can't share, so it's a hard rebuy.

I don’t mind so much having expensive bottles that I can’t share but I do prefer to enjoy them with others that appreciate them.

I host a weekly cash game and I have a few bourbon drinkers that are regs, but only one of them truly enjoys the nicer pours…especially the barrel proofs that I mainly drink. Most of them will flat out pass on anything over 100 proof. That’s their loss lol

So all you guys posting these ECBP A123 pics without any reviews    :p , how does this latest offering stand? I was told last week they finally should start popping up here in NJ (we're always a month or 2 behind), is it in the "buy a bottle" category or "buy a bunch?" :)

I bought 2 already and should have at least one more secured for me.

I cracked one on Friday night and everyone who tried it thought it was great. I thought C922 was the best batch over the last two years and A123 is right up there, if not a little better imo

It’s damn good. Similar profile taste to heaven hill 17. My guess is there’s some old juice in this batch

Oak and cherry with cinnamon, very good.

First sip was delicious, pours that followed became super smooth and easy drinking. Decided to grab 2 more.

Definitely recommend if you're into an oak driven profile.

Not in my top 3, but shockingly tasty compared to other A batches
