I might have to make an official Whiskey Sour thread but I’ll put this here for now.

For those of you that haven’t experienced the most delicious and thirst quenching beverage, here’s how you make one…

2 oz bourbon
1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 oz simple syrup
1/2 oz egg white

Step 1. Dry shake for 10 seconds to begin emulsifying.

Step 2. Wet shake until your forearms seize up.

Step 3. Serve over large ice cubes.

Step 4. Enjoy!

In the first picture I was experimenting with blood oranges as well as lemons hence the darker color.

The recipe is great. Blood oranges are great. But Basil Hayden?!

Sorry, Beam puts out a lot of great whiskey but I just can’t with Basil Hayden.

Now something higher proof from Beam like Knob Creek or Old Grand Dad 114…

I have tried several bottles, I do not like the shit

Ugh, great game last night, but not for me. We hosted 2 tables (tourney) for the first time in 9 years. Everybody had a great time, good people, and I think this game will never be 1 table again. Also polished off a Wilderness Trail and a Blanton's. Now make me a bloody buddy

It actually was very good in a whiskey sour. Normally I use Buffalo trace or something like that.

I saw this on a Facebook group, hard to believe!
Costco has huge purchasing power, and gets a lot of decent bourbon. Very little ends up in N Indiana. (Right now the selection is putrid, there is not one bottle I would buy.) But if you catch the right Costco at the right time, you can get a mild unicorn for under typical listed retail.
