It's December which means I can finally open this box that's been sitting here for a couple of months. Can't wait!

Day 1 Review: Elements of Islay, Cask Edition, 46%. Light smoke and salt on the nose, palate hits with campfire smoke and a touch of fruit (apple).

Day 2: Big Peat, 46%

Day 1 Review: Elements of Islay, Cask Edition, 46%. Light smoke and salt on the nose, palate hits with campfire smoke and a touch of fruit (apple). Overall 7/10

Day 2: Big Peat, 46%. Peat, cinnamon, and hints of spice on the nose. Char, earth, nuts, chocolate and gobs of smoke that linger for a long while. Overall 8/10.

Day 3: Loch Lomond Peated Single Grain Whisky, 46%

I haven’t seen a Hirsch high rye single barrel. Tasting notes? It’s not willet distillate is it?
It's MGP'S high rye bourbon. I'd say a little brown sugar and vanilla then the Rye spice and a hint of oak on the finish. My first adventure with this one. Would buy again if I could find it. Bought it from another PCFer.
