Grabbing this off my top shelf tonight. I’m using the wee glencairn to go with the wee bottle. The first release of MM CS was 2014 in 375mL only. This bottle is from 2015, also in 375mL only. Last time I tried this it blew away the 2020 MM CS I also had.

(And sometimes a man needs to drink on a Monday)

What’s the most you guys have spent on a pour somewhere and what was it of? Mine’s a pour of OFC 1993 for $250. Don’t see myself ever spending that much on another drink though haha

@Pinkdan sent me this dark mother of a sample months ago. I kept forgetting about it… and forgetting what it was since he didn’t label it.

It’s time. It’s Thirteenth Colony Double Oaked. It’s delicious.

Day 4: Amrut Peated Single Malt Whisky, 46%. The smell of campfire and soot hit me the minute I opened this one up. Further lingering gives apricot. Tasting brings a surprise front end of fruit, Oak while the finish leaves a delightful reminder of peat, smoke, and sweetness. Overall a very pleasant surprise. 9/10

It's been an excellent start and hoping it continues as such. It's fun opening up a new panel each day and getting a new surprise. Plus this variety within a narrow scope of 'peaty' is pretty awesome.

I'll continue trying to post each day, but I head to Chicago to see some of the old gang for some poker and family time on Day 8 so my posts will be off a bit from there.

Miss you man and hoping our paths cross soon!
I think the 46% is not a coincidence now that it is on every bottle in your sample so far...

I was thinking the same thing today. Hoping to still get surprised.
