More detailed pics ^
Gone:
One ECBP sp
One stagg (jr)
One WFP
Both Weller green labels
One New riff malted 6 year
Seagrass
Jdbp rye

On hold:
WT12

Lemme know if y’all want any more. The ECBP and Heavens door store picks are damn good btw. And I love the Johnny dram Willett juice too, especially when I’m wanting something sweet - I have several more I’m keeping as backups.

What's the matter? Too early for pics? It is Friday, you know. It's 5:00 somewhere.
Currently teaching algebra in a public high school. I’m all in favor of drinking moderately on the job, but my employer is not. Sad face.

Interestingly, in Indiana, corporal punishment is perfectly legal. It’s just that all the school districts have outlawed the practice.

Still legal in Washington but no teacher dares to try it.

Teaching is incredibly challenging. Drinking should be a requirement  :ROFLMAO:

My wife teaches elementary school art and the younger parents are getting worse every year. You'll be seeing their offspring in a few years...best of luck!

My wife just retired last Aug as a 6th grade teacher. The last three years each were progressively worse. Final year was so bad she almost retired at the semester break.

Sounds exactly how my mom’s 35 year career of teaching first grade ended. You could just see the joy of starting each new year get less and less over the last 5-6 years. She said the interaction with her student’s parents was a huge factor in her retiring at 59 instead of 65.

I already had the utmost respect for those who were willing to make the sacrifices of being an educator. I couldn’t fathom having to deal with this newer generation of parents that refuse to take any responsibility for their children. True heroes in my book!

Salut!

I'm pretty sure you have (or had) most of these bottles.
I’ve had some. Not all. I did not have the er17 or sftb but my guess as far as ranking would be

First to last
WLW
Willett (not sure age but anything over 8 will be here)
Er17
Shenks
Sftb
M10

That’s likely what I would have ranked them

This is a Riedel Vinum tasting glass with a hollow stem.
IMG_4131.jpg

I was watching an online video where a sommelier tasted a wide price range of tequilas, and without mentioning it, this was the glass he was using. I had to read the video comments to figure out what it was, but I knew I had to have one because it IS AWESOME. Bad news is that as far as I can tell, Riedel stopped making this glass at least 10 years ago. It is nowhere on their website, or any other shopping site that I could find. Cue FeeBay search and wait mode. One got listed and I finally picked it up.

What's cool about it is that you fill the stem with your drink.

Here is the equivalent amount in one of those ubiquitous insufferable glencairns.

That's what, maybe an ounce? But then the part that is really cool. The Riedel glass is purposely designed so that you can do this:
IMG_4134.jpg

You can roll the glass and rotate it 360 to completely coat the inside. You've never had a more powerful "nose" in your life after doing that and sticking your nostrils in there. And then, you drink! It was designed for wine, thus its possession by a sommelier. But I figured if he can use it for tequila, there is nothing preventing me from similar benefits with whiskey. Cheers everybody! I'm going to kill this WT RB. There isn't much left as you can see.

I don't really see what the big deal is? I can do the exact same thing with my Glencairn.

It would be rude not to…

Is the er17 as good as wlw? When I first tried wlw I was blown away. It was beyond anything I had tried since then and it was on another level. There was nothing I tried that was even close to it. Since then I’ve had a few pours of stuff that I might put in the same circle but still nothing as good as wlw. I need to know if er17 is as good or better.
