A6 - nose - cinnamon, oak, proof

This is a work of beauty!

My BIB luck continues. I've never had this before. Going to have me a pour or two for tonight's UNC game. Hope it's good. I know it's no Pappy though.View attachment 1287003
Picked one those up a month or 2 ago. Curious what your take on it is, I was not impressed with the neck pour. As I get more into it though it seems to be opening up nicely. Need a couple more pours I think

B2 v B6

B2 nose- Cherry, brown sugar, proof
palette - oak, pepper, burnt brown sugar, long finish

B6 nose- caramel, leaher, proof
palette - Taboacco, oak, black cherry, caramel, long finish

winner - B6

Great pours but B2 was more ethonol foward

D8 v D4

D8 - nose - brown sugar, candy apple, proof
palette - caramel, oak, green apple, oak, long finish

D4 - nose - Banana, brown sugar, oak, red fruit
palette - burnt brown sugar, banana nut bread, oak, oily mouth feel.

winner - D4

wow both great pours, D8 has this amazing green apple mid palette, but on the finish there is some tanic bitterness I associate with younger age. D4 was a nice viscous mouth feel with a very smooth finish and sweet banana nut bread taste.

......and?????

Frustrated Tom Hiddleston GIF
Haha. I threw Old Overholt 10 cask rye into the mix as well.

1. OO10
2. KC 2010
3. KC 2009

They were all delicious. The OO10 jumps out of the glass compared to the KCs. And the 2009 and 2010 were super close, I just enjoyed the flavor more in the 2010. They all had nice long finishes too
