Kind of on the topic. If anyone finds themselves in the St. Augustine area the distillery there is awesome ! They make some great bourbon. Also the tours are pretty cool. The building is actually the first major ice plant in the country and they have expanded on the original building. When they used to cut massive blocks of ice and deliver it that way across the country.
I live less than 90 minutes away, and I need to get over that way and take the tour. If we get a group together, I'll host the post-tour game!

Happy Fryeday! Two of these arrived today, earlier than expected, so it seemed like fate.

I normally try to taste a new whiskey blind, but I have to admit that I read tasting notes on this one first.

Nose is lots of marshmallow and a hint of apple. Palate starts with sweet caramel/toffee, then tons of cinnamon, pepper, and a boozy bite.

I wasn't sure about this one, but at $40 a bottle I was fine rolling the dice. Now I'm glad I bought two! It's punching above that price point.

I get down there once a year for a couple weeks. Definitely got to get over there, they do bourbon, rum, vodka and gin and like to give way too many "samples", so it's a good time... Always up for a poker game though!
