I have a bourbon and sherry cask version of this that isn't bad, but haven't been able to find the Bordeaux cask version, this consistently gets really nice reviews.
Found one! And even though I'm not a Giants fan, had to grab this pick. Eric Legrand did a nice job on his pick, I'm hoping Eli follows suit.

I'm also 275 pounds and have been drinking whiskey for 25 years, so there's that. Lol and usually 4 pours is over 3-4+ hours.
So you have a lot of practice !! And drinking this amount in 3-4 hours sounds very balanced.

I think that my m8 has killed about 3-4 pours within the last 30 minutes hahahaha...

I am familiar with the term dram, which has its origins in Great Britain and defines the quantity for an ordinary glass of whisky served in bars.

Nonetheless a question for the group: how much whisky do you usually drink in an evening? Since most people here attach great importance to high quality whisky, I assume that most of you consume a smaller quantity!?
Lots and lots once dry Jan/Feb is over. I'm good for 2-3 nice pours on most evenings.

Last pour of a great fucking bottle. Can we do another one of these guys?

I was a lazy mo-fo, and by the time the NAGB on this was closed, I missed my chance to get in on this NAGB, and have felt like I missed out ever since.

I'm already in for at least one bottle next time one of these run.

I might not know (personally) most of the folks who made this happen, but between knowing them here, and the raves about this pick I've read, I'm all-in blind pre-flop next time this happens.

I've become a fan of barrel picks in general in the last year-plus. The person who does barrel picks from my local inebritorium has made me a convert on good barrel picks to the point that I'm willing to go to them without much extra convincing.

I just wish I was closer so I could "help out" with the selection process.

It really was a great bottle. The last New Riff pick I did for my channel was pretty close.

I am now doing quarterly picks for my YouTube channel so just don't think I have time to arrange and run another one of the BBNAGB picks.

Still Austin cask strength rye is, in my opinion, the best cask strength rye readily available on the shelf. I like it better than Willett 4 year and Barrel Seagrass, my previous favorites.
Still haven’t come across it. Hoping to find it one of these days based on how much praise it gets here.

Oh, and the Shop has the Still Austin cask strength Rye Whisky as well... Probably at a much higher price than within the US ... nonetheless: tempting!

I don't know if there are differences in the vintage of Blanton's Gold that can have an effect on the price. But if you know someone who is playing in the black Forrest Meetup at the end of April and can act as a re-shipper: the Gold version is available in this country for 119 euros plus shipping (max. 2 can be ordered in the store per customer - I'd rather mention it now)... So I could order and hand it over to someone from the USA at the Meetup...
