Outpost and King's Mixed THC Set (5).JPG's Mixed THC Set (5).JPG
Nice set. No nonsense. Shaped inlays, no repeats. Guessing the only chips not in near mint condition are the fracs. No real risk of dirty stacks and very playble. $25's feel a bit out of place here with the spots and sorta-faux-shaped-inlay; good on their own, but perhaps there are better selections available.

We'll start at a 9, take off a little bit for the different conditioned fracs and the odd selection of $25's.

8.5 out of 10 mixed sets. Looking fabulous at the top end.

Now that's a heap o'hooters right there! Some are perfect 10's...others are so low there's not even a number on...er, for them.

And, frankly, I'm more of a legs and ass man myself.

We'll split the difference and call it 5 out of 10, plus one more for blend of mold and theme.

6 drachma out of 10, final answer. Hopefully we make our way to Greece sometime soon and I'll get to fondle...err, play some poker with them.
Plus 4 drachmae for the tetradrachm silver coin where the Owls were first represented, which makes a perfect 10 :p

Just tell me that you 're coming to Athens, and I 'll organise whatever you want, despite my being a boobs man, myself (at least, we 're never gonna fight).
If you can drag along a degen crowd of smth like 8 people, I 'll have a nice AirBnB booked, with two full tables, professional dealers included.

Never have I seen a set that seems to encourage me to drink as much as I want to when I look at it. Whoever designed this set should be drawn and quartered.

2.5/10 snifters. And since you're pourin', make it a double.

Then leave the bottle.

Oh, look...he conveniently provides a nice beach for me to go and do that aforementioned drinking!

Definitley a solid 7/10 sunsets. Don't wake me from my stupor until the sun's come up.

Nice I dig my review haha.

Now here we have a set that can't help but make a man smile. This set is better than an all you can eat breakfast buffet. It's better than a automatic, remote-triggered door closer. It's finer than waffles covered in syrup infused with single-malt scotch and laden with bacon.

I give it 7.20 / 10 votes; suck it, Eagleton.

Fuck you too
This is the correct response.

Okay, now we're talkin. I ain't even gonna mess around here. Shaped, textured inlay goodness, including the fracs. Great colors and spots, and one of the all time best Chip Room offerings, if not THE best. Plus those quarters! I'm going to assume that those yellow solids are the hot stamped quarters with the star on them (and if they're not, please don't prove me wrong). Very viable breakdown. Perhaps a bit heavy on the ones; perhaps a bit light on the redbirds.

It even has a barrel of the $500's!

My only real knock is the set's only real knock - the damn RHC $1's. That's not your fault, but I can't let it go freely. And I'm pretty sure the aftermarket fracs were on a different mold as well, by necessity.

This set starts at a 10; small deduction for the non-THC molds and for the missing one rack of $5's.

9.5 stars out of 10; would play on these any time.

It's quite clear that the Master, HAC** is getting drunk (it's a Friday evening, after all).

May I take over (being no less drunk probably) and declare @JeepologyOffroad 's mixed set as the absolute winner, hands down.
The question is where DaFuq he 's found those fabulous chips?:jawdrop:
What would I be required to do to get some of these?

** His All Chipness, the @Psypher1000 :D

This is what happens when you don't pay the hooker enough. It starts out questionably - the blue chip isn't sure if it's a $1 or something else. Turns into a solid five, and just as things start heating up at the $20 - she stops and leaves you hanging before we get to the climax.

Or so I'm told.

ANYWHO, 3.5/10 prophylactics; should probably get tested for STD's just in case.

Not sure where to go here. On the one hand, this is a very utilitarian, workman's tournament set. Proper colors. No nonsense. Although the orange chips do leave something to be desired - namely, a denomination. What happened there? Was there an international foil shortage sometime in the last two decades? Regardless, this almost feels like a dealer school set, and that's not a bad thing.

On the other hand...B is for basic? B is for Boring? No location, no name, no spots, no thoughts.

This set doesn't do a whole lot wrong, so I can't crucify it. This set also just doesn't do much at all besides its job.

A solid, middle-of-the-road 5 out of 10 B's. It does what it needs to do, punches the clock, and goes home.

This set is like a mullet - it's all business up front, but a party in the back. Workman's casino chips to start with, then some shaped inlay goodness and even some C&J action.

I love the colors here, and that you actually have casino $20's. I hate the fact that you have those Stardust $20's and I don't. Also a slight deduction because of mixing C&J with more modern chips. Also a slight deduction for not having a fifth rack of redbirds. I mean, that's just about standards.

We'll start it at 7. Add a bit for the great pastelle color palette and having a casino 20, then minus 20 percent for the amount of fives you're missing and then subtract a lot because I'm a jealous, petty bastard.

A better man might give it 8.6, but I'm only half that so 4.3 out of 10 long canes.

Secondary fracs are cool. Right? Right?!
So I feel like this is Exhibit A for why mating with one's first cousin is frowned upon. It's all been kept in the family, and the result just ain't quite right. Not coincidentally, the best part of this set are the 2v fracs. And just like what typically happens in nature, the more dominant trait - in this case, the JACK inlay - wins out over the recessive Grand Vic trait. This also ultimatley results in a better product. That $1 is also just a good, solid chip, but things devolve from there. You have the fantastic regular $5's next to the fetal-alcohol-effected GO $5's. Multiple $25's. Multiple hundo's. It's like a Frankensteined mess.

And the secondary fracs? Bah. It's just a bolted on piece that looks similar but isn't quite the same. See also: warts.

And the Jack Detroit itself was treated like a dirty little secret. It never really opened as such, kept its original name, and shipped these chips off hoping to be forgotten.

Still, some of these chips on their own are great, and I do really like that frac (the primary fake one, not the secondary fake one)...

I give it 5 out of 10 watermelon seeds. You're allowed to think she's hot, mate. You just can't tell anyone or do anything about it.

Just oiled these babies up, and arranged them by serial number. Going to break them out for my .25/.50 double board Big PLO8 game tomorrow night.

Or is it 2/7 9-card Alburquerque with a live-token razzle? I better check my email.

I have to admit - I needed to take a moment on this one to ensure I wasn't biased from the fuck-me-fantastic cash set.

This set is like both the Game of Thrones book and tv series.

It's like the TV series because it starts off good, gets consistently better, then right near the end takes too many twists and turns and fucks it up in the end.

It's like the book series because, let's face it - George is never going to finish it. Someone's going to have to come in and finish the series for him, just like @72o stepped in and finished this set. He slapped the Knollwood's $1 on it and called it a day.

It does so many things right, but fails just a few steps away from greatness. Not coincidentally, "Could've Been" by Tiffany just started playing on my friend's iPhone (I'm going to have to talk to them about this...I had a crush on Tiffany, too, for a hot minute, but left it back in 1988).

And so I give it 8.8 apples out of 10 - just out of the club of greatness.
