I honestly don't know how or why people have this opinion. But then again, I can't stand to watch a baseball game. In general, soccer is nonstop action when you compare it to turn based sports. Yes, there are parts where it's boring, and there are boring games, but there are boring games in every sport. I believe it's probably just unfamiliarity with the sport. This Iran game was anything but boring though. It got better and better as it went on.

This exists minus the Ice, lol. Arena soccer is fun to watch. Grew up watching the Detroit Rockers Soccer, at one point I think we had season tickets.

Carter-Vickers had a solid game today. A "low block" is basically defending close to goal and staying compact. Think "10 men behind the ball." In the SPL, Celtic is head and shoulders better than nearly all teams, so the teams they play against likely play that way, like a top 4 EPL side versus a relegation contender.

Iran was already a defense-first, counterattacking team and knowing they needed only a draw to advance made it doubly so to start the game.

I’m living proof. The good thing is that we have absolutely no expectations. This means we can piss ourselves laughing at a certain other country when their media get carried away and think they’re going to win it… only to get pumped out by Germany on penalties :ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

He is a young (24) right fullback. had 4 goals and 4 assists for Montreal last year in his first year with them. very good going forward (one of the best in MLS), probably only average defensively at this point. Considering he came up through the Collegiate system, and was not a professional until a few years ago, he has grown as a player very quickly.
 
What would the tie breaker have been if Mexico-Saudi Arabia had remained 2-0 and a Mexico win?

It looks like they would have been tied with Poland, Goals for, Goal differential and they also tied each other.

Discipline/Fair Play record. Yellow, 2nd Yellow Send Off, Straight Red worth different amounts. Poland was leading on that metric.

If that's tied, I think it's an actual coin flip.
