I wish it had been won in the run of play, but ARG proved under the pressure of PKs that they could get the job done. Mbappe is an amazing player, he will be back.

Messi is done. He's done it all.

So it's not really an argument for or against.

It's the same for the delayed off-side calls. I love this new rule for several reasons (don't want to create a wall of text here). But critics have said "what if someone gets injured after the offside? They wouldn't have gotten injured with the old rules". My response is the same: Totally worth the risk, because the new rule makes the game better (IMO, of course). But those who don't like the new rule will say the opposite.

I hate the delayed offside. No issue if it's close, but too often it's blatant and just delayed. My basic thoughts are if you are confident enough to say it's offsides, raise the flag immediately. If not, let the play go. These often aren't marginal calls that play on. Sure, it might bring an exciting opportunity, but those are as meaningless as the 3/4 game to me if the AR knows the flag is going up anyway.

Great final for sure, one of the best ever! I don’t get why two France PK’rs went for the lower left corner against Martinez..? He’s shown he can read those pretty damn consistently. Shoot upper net/corners..

Oh well, it was a great game. Was not a big fan of Mbappe, but lots of respect for him now.

Messi is Messi, happy for him to walk away with this one.
