Today we talk about the differences between Cap Dash Hybrid Ceramic chips. and TR King Co Small Crown chips. The Cap Dash hybrid ceramics were made in tribute to the TRK SmCrown chips. With chip prices getting more and more expensive, especially with these original TRKs, it's harder to build these sets that everyone wants. For example, original Tropicana, Nevada Lodge, Pick Hobson Riverside, Primadonna, New China Club etc etc. You just can't find those chips in quantity or if you do, they are very expensive to build a set. With the Cap Dash ceramics, you have the opportunity to enjoy that similar feel of TRK chips at just a fraction of the cost. You can also create any artwork you'd like, make them the way you want and enjoy them with friends and family. You can ONLY find them at PokerChipper.com and we talk similarities and differences in this video! Hope you enjoy!

Hybrid ceramics diameters.. this came up when making the Tangiers mold with Tina. Opted for 39mm, but was told the greek is 39mm whereas the web mold is slightly larger at 39.3mm. Haven't measured myself though or heard their other chip dimensions.

And the scrown hybrid is Tina, but was a group buy done through pokerchipper.com and I believe limited to them.

I’ve noticed that a design I’ve made is on her website.
So not only they steal the design they are asked to print but also designs used at other manufacturers ? This is really a shame and in fact a reason why, if I want molded ceramics or hybrids, I go with SunFly only.

Today we quickly talking about the C.J. Sisk Company that has some what of an interesting history. The name being made up of C.J. which stands for Christy & Jones (Bill Christy & Bud Jones) who originally made the H&C chip. Back then, it was called a Christy & Jones chip or CJ chip. Today's version of those chips is the Paulson H&C chip. The difference is minor, but it's significant enough to talk about. Back to the topic, C.J. Sisk Co. was or is said to be the California subdivision of Paulson into the 80s. For some reason, not exactly sure, Paulson was banned from making chips for casinos/card room up until then, so they used a secondary business or distributor in California which was called C.J. Sisk Co. These were Paulson chips getting delivered to casino in California. Paulson at the time was ran by Paul Endy and Bill Christy. I show you guys some very impressive sample chips, talk about the history of C.J. Sisk Co and a few other goodies that the die hard chip collectors will love! Hope you enjoy!

Today I show you guys what has happened in the last week in downtown Las Vegas with the Gamblers General Store original building being sold. I'm not exactly who/what company/business/firm bought it, what they are going to do with it and their plans, but I wanted to mention. If you guys haven't been to downtown Vegas in a few years it's changed quite a bit. Gamblers has moved into a smaller building across the street right on Main St. The original lot that they were in including Fabrizios(I believe), that whole area is sold and under new ownership for the time being. The mural is gone, windows have been boarded up and much more. Hope you enjoy!

Today we talk about the NEW Faded Spade FSX 100% plastic playing cards. This was the first time I had ever felt Faded Spade cards. I've used plenty of other plastic decks before (Copag, original KEM, new KEM, Dal Negro, Cartamundi, Broken Arrow Supply and more) but these Faded Spade FSX cards have something different about them and that's something that I believe a lot of people are now liking. These might be a game changer coming here soon in the poker and playing card world! Hope you enjoy!

Today we talk about where old casino chips go after casinos close for good. Many people think they might get destroyed, and that's the case in Nevada, but outside of Nevada things are different. Not all casino chips get destroyed either, NCV or No Cash Value, Roulette and Promo chips are okay not to get destroyed, but all cash chips do get destroyed. In other states you actually have the opportunity to buy them in an auction, sale or even going on forums like PokerChipForum with vendors like @TheChipRoom and you're able to get a set of old casino chips for a really good price! Watch to find out more about what happens to old casino chips! Hope you enjoy!

Today we talk about what ultimately causes old dice to crystallize over time. There is a whole science to why it happens, the materials in the dice, the mixture with oxygen and a few other things that makes this special effect to happen. I also talk about a few ways to make sure that this doesn't happen to your old dice if you are a dice collector! Hope you enjoy!

Today we talk about why I collect casino chips. There's many reason why I do and I don't think any of it would have been without Anne or Mike Spinetti. Those two gave me a chance to work for them years ago and that's what sparked my interest in this hobby. Being alongside Mike and learning one on one with him about these little clay discs made all of this possible. My interest in the hobby, the history, community and so much more! Hope you enjoy!

Today we talk about odd denomination casino chips/poker chips. What they are used for, they're significance in casinos, their rarity and more! I know they are used all across the world, but there are only a handful of casinos here in Las Vegas that use them and those I highlight in this video. Most are used in Poker rooms, but they have been used across the casino floor before. Not as much as they used to and I do mention $2.50 chips or snappers as collectors like to call them. This should be a fun one for you guys! Hope you enjoy!

Today we talk about some interesting sample coin inlays that I got from a chip collector named Mike Christensen a few years ago at one of the shows here in Las Vegas. Mike knew that I was into different things, stuff that people didn't know too much about and something that had a story. Although there isn't much information online about these sample inlays, it does make me think that these are the original versions of these. They don't have the same back inlay that all the chips did and I've never seen one that was made for Caesars Palace. I haven't been able to find anything else like this online, so I'm also trying to figure out how rare these two really are. Are they actual prototype samples from this small mint that was in Amarillo, Texas or what's the whole story on these two? Hope you enjoy!

Today we go back to Charleston Antique Mall and look around once again! I found this beautiful 500 TRK set that has Equipoise Club/Normandie Club chips and some monograms in it with a very nice case. The $1s and 5/10 cent chips are cancelled with TRKs signature cancellation stamp unfortunately, but they are still really nice to look at! The blue $1 tri-moons are in great shape and so are the purple spotted chips. The monograms look brand new. Who knows if I'll go back and pick this set up at some point, but every single time I go now I can't miss it. So nice to see something like this at an antique mall! Hope you enjoy!

Today we talk about the future of CPC or Classic Poker Chips and how it looks bright! Just recently they had announced that the business was for sale and since then they have found a buyer. I'm not sure who the buyer is, but it seems as though they are going to go through with a transitory period up until April 27th, David Spragg said. They are currently in active and final stages with an interested party. So, with that information I'm excited to figure out who the new owners will be, their ideas for the future of CPC and how they'll take it to the next level! I'm hoping for some fun new ideas. We'll see in the future! Hope you enjoy!

Today we talk about how to spot fake casino chips in the wild. With the introduction of these new hybrid ceramic chips, I thought this type of video would be beneficial for anyone that is new to the hobby or someone that is still learning about the different types of chips. The two main molds I wanted to talk about where the SmCrown and the Web mold. Although the web mold (from my knowledge) doesn't have many expensive chips I still wanted to talk about it. The SmCrown mold has plenty of chips that are worth well over $1k per chip so this could make a huge difference between buying something fake and something that is real. So with that info, I hope you enjoy the video and I'll see you in the next one!

Today we're making another information video about learning the basics of casino chips. In this video I show you guys real examples of chips and teach you quickly on how to identify the mold, different inlays styles and different edge spot patterns. Of course, there are tons more of edge out there, but I just want to get you started on your journey in the chip collecting hobby! I hope you enjoy and I'll see you in the next one!

Today we talk about the Circus Circus casino in Las Vegas officially being for sale as of Jan 20th, 2025. Phil Ruffin, owner of TI, Circus Circus and half owner of Trump International, let the public know that the casino and land is for sale at a price of $5 billion. It's not cheap for a reason and he has many reasons for that. He says, "It’s got the highway, it’s got the Sahara, it’s got 2,000 feet on the Strip, and it’s the last Strip property. And 102 acres is just a massive amount of land — you can almost build a city on it." It does have many benefits and it would be exciting for a new owner to take over the project. Although it would be one of, if not, the last family orientated Strip casino to exist. It originally opened in 1968 with a full circus theme and had clowns everywhere, real animals and so much more inside! You can't find that anywhere else today on the Strip or in Las Vegas. So, what do you think about this? Do you think it's a good move, a bad move or a publicity stunt? Hope you enjoy!

Today we talk about the ability to get higher denomination casino chips into your collection. For the longest time it's been hard to usually get anything higher than $100 or $500 casino chips into a collection simply because people don't have the money to do so. Rarely do you ever see a live casino chip above $500 leaving the casino. Today and even in the last 10-15 years, the ability to get casino chips with these higher denominations has gotten easier with suppliers like TheChipRoom, Spinettis, sellers on eBay and across the world. With this you can have chips like $1ks or $5ks in your collection. Of course, they'll more than likely be 43mm or 48mm in size, but that's because casinos generally use these larger chips for higher denomination chips to signify that they have a higher value. Hope you enjoy!

Today we talk about Matsui Clay Poker Chips. These aren't found often and can be pretty rare from what I've tried researching here for quite some time. The whole reason I'm able to make this video is to a good friend in Finland named Mikko. Mikko has helped me in the past and is once again helping me with these! Recently someone found a larger batch of these chips in Japan and got them imported to the US for his chip collection. I'm pretty sure Matsui made these chips almost as business chips or NCV chips, but I've never seen them in quantity before. Why is that? I believe it's due to the fact that these weren't produced for long at all. Not long enough that the general public or casinos knew about them. Making these pretty rare. I believe Paulson manufactured these for Matsui using their own "house" mold. One of these chips is on a H&C mold and the others are on the house mold. Watch to see more and let me know your thoughts! Hope you enjoy!

Today we talk about these amazing Rio WSOP are starting to pop up and everyone that grew up watching the Poker BOOM is going nuts on eBay! About a week or two ago these chips started popping up and I've seen so many people on PCF getting sample sets, grabbing singles and even one person got themselves a small single table tournament set from what I saw. So, this is INSANE for the poker chip hobby! It shows that these chips were never destroyed, they've been hiding somewhere and finally seeing the light of day after being last used in 2021 at the Rio. Hope you enjoy!
