Yep. 1 and 2.5 are thc
Those aren’t holes. They’re micro printed dots, a security feature. Example here: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/coastal-gaming-paulson-set.42198/post-785120Are all denoms above $5 drilled?
JACK Detroit was the same. Personally, I think the Alpha dots add to the coolness factor of a set - gives it a real "authenticity" factor.@Colquhoun Thanks for the education! Not something I've run into before.
Interesting to see that the dots have quite a bit more prominence on these (with a black background) compared to the costal $100 and PCNY implementations.
No way! That dot looks like an error ... some chips have other marks that don't look like some kind of out-of-focus smear. I'm cool with that, but I hate the dot.Personally like the micro dot , but HSI Don’t have them and they’re still nice
On the PNY’s the dot looks way better. There is no outer circle that surrounds the dot on these. But on the jacks yeah it can look off , I agree !No way! That dot looks like an error ... some chips have other marks that don't look like some kind of out-of-focus smear. I'm cool with that, but I hate the dot.
The only acceptable security feature IMO:

Haha, well, yeah! But I was only referring to the situation where you MUST have a visible one.In my opinion, hidden black-light security features are by far the coolest. Example.
Yeah but come on... Did they have to make it look like someone stretched the vinyl too far.
Those spots were on the Jack Detroit's too.Yeah but come on... Did they have to make it look like someone stretched the vinyl too far.
It's like someone let their kid pick where to put the dot. Probably the same kid that took a crayon and made their hideous $25k chip. Those spots were on the Jack Detroit's too.

It looks like there's just an odd placement of the micro dots on the Jack Cinncinati chips.
