Unfortunately I see a new table felt in your future. Paymaster diamond plate felt would be pretty sweet.
What if you did a red center with the stainless diamond plate racetrack? You could then put the logos in the betting field and they would look more like they are on the car. Just a thought.
Also probably need to change Ed's number to 555- unless he's still in business.
Makes total sense now. (y)
Maybe he'll pay for a small part of the table. Just tell him you have over 100 eyeballs that will see it one weekend a year and probably close to 2000 annually.Omg just googled it and shocked to find Ed Griesmeyer's is still in business and still even has the same number lol.
It would probably be smarter but the whiteboards scream to me for the adsLove the felt. My slight concern would be tendency to stain or the white to get noticeably worn over time. Unreasonable to make it light grey?
They are replicating race wall ads.
And for those exact reasons, I'd put them on raised rail walls.... with the table's racetrack replicating a, well, real racetrack.....the whiteboards scream to me for the ads

@T_Chan (ChanMan Tables) even has experience in such matters. Imagine these raceway ad walls.....

Yeah that's beautiful and all.And for those exact reasons, I'd put them on raised rail walls.... with the table's racetrack replicating a, well, real racetrack.....

Seriously, though -- a raised rail with white billboard and no lighting would double the table cost? The playing surface would/could still be all cloth with a printed racetrack. All table/cloth dimensions (except rail height) would remain the same.Raffle?
Chanman was using one of his premade table designs. To go with the specialization does literally double the cost to me.Seriously, though -- a raised rail with white billboard and no lighting would double the table cost? Sounds like you and @BGinGA have an upcoming project to do!Chanman was using one of his premade table designs. To go with the specialization does literally double the cost to me.
Looking into the thought of a race wall with the ads. The one BGinGA showed was a 2.5 inch raised rail but Tony can do any height. I am trying to keep the ads in their current proportions and make them legible from across the table. My question is how high do you think a raised rail can go and still be comfortable for play?
I'm having John send me one to print out to give an idea of size. Even a move to 3 inches may help us out a lot with the proportions.I think I might be in the minority, but it's slightly uncomfortable at any height, so I'd be a little concerned about stretching it. Then again, it's hard to resist the allure of the race wall design...
