PCF Cigars (6 Viewers)

What a great day to be outside.
Enjoyed a nice, peaceful cigar last night.

After the first two TDs I bet a buddy the total combined score would be over 100. :cool

Missed almost the rest of the game but caught the end: "they are gonna rush the field.... he hits this they are deffinetly rushing the field... no chance that goes... it's good!!!! and there go the students!'

So winner all around. ;)

Oooooooooof, this was a great Churchill! Mild, creamy, and chocolatey — but more than enough to keep me interested from start to finish.

Tonight’s stick! Solid construction, nothing wrong, nothing stand out. Got some mocha and roast nuts for a bit but wasn’t super standout. I would pay $6-8 for one of these but not the $12-14 you can get them for.

I’m also just not wowed by these styles of bands and found myself staring at it uninspired the whole time

Maybe we’ll let that kick off a discussion. What do you like in a band? What’re some favorites?
Not a fan of a band around the foot. Like I get maybe it protects the foot, but I don’t want to have to pull something off just to light the cigar. Less annoyed about a bunch of extra bands further down the body, but still wish they weren’t there.

Bands are something that are just more “I don’t know what to do with this” to me. Maybe cause I’m new to cigars, but they are always just a thing where I need to do something with it, their really isn’t a clear etiquette for what to do with it, but short of actually letting it burn while smoking no one seems to care, but it just leaves me confused.

Tl;dr - less is more.

Ran into my old friend who owns Amendola Family cigars at Angus Barn. He gave me and my friends some sticks. Amendola Maduro. It's quite good. Nice pepper right off the bat. That's Jeff Amendola on my right with the surf n turf.

I had a Vegas 5 Cask Strength toro last night. Was part of a sampler I randomly bought while traveling. I really enjoyed it. Had a major ash going but it collapsed right when I went to photo it.

Same goes for anyone who might be in Dallas! If I ever hold my own meet up - there will be a "Players Lounge" in my smoking room. Kick back, relax, grab a beer and fire one up!

I know you've hosted meet ups now. Did the players lounge happen? Is there a poker table in there?

Players lounge did not happen, keeping the door shut during a meetup would have proven impossible.

But with that said there were cigars nightly on the patio.

No more smoking in the house. All cigars are now banished to the patio out back.
I still smoke in my room solo or with a friend, but no more at poker. Too many bathroom breaks and made the house smell.
