Wait until you see our whiskey table

Great sticks! The one on the left is actually a Nicaraguan wrapper (a.k.a Natural). It's not a Connecticut. The 1926 is offered in both Sun Grown Natural and San Andres wrappers. Great too, I just can't afford to smoke them.

I got into Maduros fast, but really mix it up these days. Sometimes closer to a medium has great flavors. I cannot smoke Connecticuts, expect for Broadleafs. They are too weak and don't have any flavor to me.
Thanks for the clarification and 100% correct, of course. I have the 1926s coming, they are in back order, so I can try them, also. Bought a bunch of singles to see where my profile preference truly is.

Just looked these up on cigar.com and totally forgot how expensive they were! Yowza. Much is explained.

Try the 1964 maddies, those might be more your speed (and a touch less expensive). I like the 1926s but actually prefer the 64s, especially the torpedoes. Great smokes!

Hemingway maddie and an excellent barrel strength rye for me on this fine evening, TGIF!

This stick is pissing me off, and I was so excited to try it too.

Admittedly, I don’t have lighting a cigar down to a science, but it’s burning uneven and I really have to pull off it to get a draw. Maybe it’s waited too tightly? Is that a thing?

Disappointed.
Try taking it back if you think it’s flawed? Nick Perdomo talks about replacing the occasional flawed stick and I believe him.

Had a Nicaraguan 1964 last night and enjoyed it. Great draw, great smoke, good flavor. Couldn’t tell much of a difference between that and the 50th anniversary, and at 1/2 the price. Maduro in order still. Thanks for the recommendation!

To paraphrase Holmes, today was quite a 4 cigar day:

First sun-grown wrapper, which I enjoyed, but this Perdomo Maduro was excellent. Full flavor without being stronk like moose. Will definitely try again.
Follow-up on this, tried another parallel smoking session, this time between the champagne Maduro Robusto and the champagne Noir Torpedo. If I understand correctly, the Maduro is replacing the Noir. Both were really nice, and I will smoke them again, with the the Maduro getting the slight edge for being a bit smoother - the smoke wasn’t as heavy/sharp if that makes sense. Smoke really surrounded you with a smooth and delicious flavor. Not quite as intense as the Noir. I wonder how much of that was due to the shape difference?

Glad you liked it, and the maddies are even better :) The difference is very subtle, the 26 series is a tad darker/more toasted (almost too much, borderlines on burnt IMHO).

If you like these and want an even more reasonable smoke, buy a box or two of the of regular Padron 2ks or 3ks and lock them away in a humidor for a few years and blammo - cheapo 1964s down the road :)

Spot in with the difference between the 64 and the 50th. What’s the difference between the 2k and 3k?

Same blend, just different sizes.

EP Carillo Pledge. First attempt and really enjoying it. For me this is a true-true medium body cigar. Little pricey but considering a box of 10 it is that enjoyable.

Anyone tried the La Aurora Preferidos “treasure tubos”? Tried the Ruby and the Gold yesterday. Both were fairly perfumy with what I would call a sandalwood nose. The Ruby was just a bit too much, but I liked the gold well enough.
