New smoke Friday. Picked one of these up the other night but it was lost in my travel case. Went back to the shop today to grab one and replace my case, torch, and cutter.

Also, I had no idea that Costco has cigars!

I picked up the Rocky Patel sample pack in the bottom right corner. 10 sticks for 31.99!!

So I just had my first torpedo style cigar. A Serie V from my Oliva sampler box, and what a delight that was! I don’t know why I was always intimidated by the torpedo, but it just smoked so much nicer!

Better than when they’re really young for sure. I always liken it to a wine that’s worthy of cellaring and gets better with some age. Although, I have to confess that I know more about wine!

I smoked alot of cigars 25- 30 years ago and took a break. It’s more of a hobby now. I’ve taken more of on an interest in actually “learning” more rather than just smoking!

I doubt they would be online to order. Probably too many legalities over shipping tobacco products.

I got my primary humidor from Costco. It's pretty nice and was a good buy at $35 (that was about 20 yrs ago).

Solid choice. It is unlikely to disappear since it is a Perdomo flagship cigar. Made since their 10th anniversary.

I don't know how you guys smoke Connecticuts Way too light for me. I know, it's subjective but I've never been able to enjoy one. I have a stomach like a rock though and can light up a maduro at 8am before breakfast.

I admit, I did not look through the 65 pages of posts but I've always enjoyed a good cigar but I'm about as "newbie" as it comes. For someone who wants to get into the occasional cigar, what are some must haves and some good intro cigars? Appreciate the advice/input in advance!

Yeah, those Perdomo Champagne units are a great starting stick to gauge yourself, and also you can go back 10 pages or so and see all the responses to my newb/dumb questions. These guys know their stuff!

Don’t be afraid to ask questions either. Enjoy!

Yeah, I got one for ya. You absolutely need this cutter: https://cubancrafters.com/cuban-cra...ers-cuts-the-exact-amount-off-all-ring-sizes/ (edited for better link).

I didn't look around for prices, so if you pick one up, you should.

That cutter perfectly cuts all cigars automatically aside from very small sticks (like cigarillos or Puritos) - on those be careful as they can overcut. Great little unit. Buy one and never worry about a cutter again - you'll have the nuts.
