What does everyone do with their labels?

I have a box on the wall, it says "Been there, Smoked that"

Does anyone have any cool projects?
I’ve got two little girls under the age of 4, so I started a journal and glue the bands of memorable smokes, include the details of the cigar, and write about what was going on while I enjoyed the cigar, and try to impart a little bit of wisdom in each entry. My hope is to give it to them, filled up when they get older with kids, and give them a nice reminder of their dad.

Shout out to @JustDave for introducing these PGs to me at the Alpha Shootout. Finally made it to the store. These cigars are fantastic. I’m trying several sizes to see which I prefer before buying boxes. They’re a little more than I usually pay for my dailys but they are a great smoke

**those aren’t prices, they’re just for inventory. They range $8-$15. I usually try to stay below $5 since I smoke so many
Glad you are enjoying them! I've never once had a bad cigar from them, always really well constructed and pleasant. The aged stuff is a little pricey on the higher end of that range and I don't know that I'd say they are 'worth it'. However I like being able to go into a place where they really know what they are doing, can talk you through what you are looking for, and you can buy a single cigar, try it, come back with your feedback and they will suggest what to try next. I'll pay a little extra for the service.

Where do folks order cc's now a days? Used to use ihavana but haven't done so in a long time, wasn't sure what are the latest reliable sites

Prices - I don't smoke cigars very often lately. But - I went to go reload my favorite cubans and it looks like prices have nearly doubled!

Typically I was getting cuban cigars for like $8 - $10 /stick about a year ago. I was surprised to see prices seem like they tripled! Surely I must be mis-remembering this.

I had good luck with a site that was a relative newcomer back then (fast shipping). Here's an order from August of 2021

I hit a problem with 10 Punch Punch's in tubes though. Every one of them was plugged so much that it was not worth the effort to try to smoke them. Gave them to a friend who cuts his sticks into parts and smoked them from a pipe.

Here's the price today for the Romeo y Julietta Short Churchill 10 pack today:

That's $185 in dollars! Wow - from $95 to $185 - what's going on there?

And the Partagas no 4's for a pack of 10 went WAY up too:

That's $278 to me. Man! Such a drag. I've got a bunch if cigars I need to use up here in the humidor that are non-cuban's. I need to finish off some of the random ones I have first I guess. I was just shocked at the price jump.

I used to use puroexpress but they lost a shipment and never made it up to me. I do think they were real cubans despite them cutting off some of the labels, but now I don't know if I want to order from them again after losing around $400 in my order. Plus they have similarly high prices right now.

Cuban lous has good pricing but I'm suspicious that they have such better pricing and the charge would come from China. Maybe it's just my paranoia.

Maybe one of you has a better place to buy?

Appreciate anybody's help in locating some Monte no 2's, partagas D4, RnJ short churchills or really anything with that typical woody, leathery goodness from Cuba.

Thanks!

I'm in Kansas City so I'm square in the middle of the USA.

i use Cigarterminal I've never had a problem. one package got held up in customs for a while and i emailed them and they sent another box out immediately. I've ordered from them maybe 8 times over past 2 years.

Thanks Joey - I'll check it out!

FYI I added some pics and prices to my original post so you can see the price doubling or nearly tripling in a year.

I bought a box of those a couple of years ago and it became my favorite go to short smoke.

A friend in Miami told me about them and I never regret buying those.
Cheers for the feedback! Much appreciated.

I've ordered from FoH and Bellhop. Bellhop came really fast but was way more expensive. FoH was a lot more reasonable, but it regularly takes a month to get them and the purchase process is 'odd'.
