I've identified the reason why the style switch is not functioning for some users. It has to do with....browser

If you can still use the switcher after logging out and back in, you'll need to clear your PCF cookies from your web browser.

I'm aware that Edge is based on Chromium; however, I switched to it over a year ago and have not regretted it. It integrates more seamlessly with the operating system and the applications I use, which isn't surprising. Both Chrome and Edge's dark mode settings occasionally override a website's style with their own dark mode rendition. Implementing the three style settings/variations: system, light, and dark should address that issue.

Nada. Tried changing it using both operating systems, Windows and MacOS. Still throws out the error message other users have shared. What's weird is that the laptop is showing Light theme and the Mac is showing Dark. I'm personally more comfortable with Light and I use my iMac 99% of the time but it's stuck on Dark now. Not sure why.

It's shouldn't matter but try the switcher at the bottom of the page.

You can manually change the Light/Dark Mode from Your Account / Preferences. It works for me

I have a hunch it might because you may be logged in on multiple devices and the cookies are conflicting with each other.
