In April, the PCF member above asked this community for help in the post below:

Thread 'Our family needs your help.' https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/our-family-needs-your-help.118805/

Basically he said he & his wife were expecting a child and work was slow yadda yadda yadda give me money. Myself and others contributed. On my part I auctioned off a rack of Paris $1's and sent the money to his PayPal acct. There were many naysayers who belittled him but unfortunately I ignored them thinking I was just doing a good deed. Low and behold he is now capable of selling off quite an extensive amount of chips. Why wasn't this done in the beginning? Why am I out a rack of chips at all? Not only that but he's purchasing chips too. How about that for a kick in the nuts. Wanna hear another one? In one of his sales I pretty much let him have it and HE BLOCKED ME! I can't tell you how irritated I get seeing this piece of trash making deals. I feel like he owes me and everyone who donated to him back what we gave. I feel like I got robbed. I just wanted everyone on here to know how this guy operates and my advice is to steer clear.

First of all, I would try to plan and anticipate the consequences of my life choices. Then if I ever need money, I would sell off all of my non-custom chips and other wants in life. If that is not enough then my custom chips also (for PCF purposes). Downsize my house/car. Then maybe ask family for help, then maybe close friends. Last resort is public situation like a GoFundMe/internet forum. Meanwhile looking for a different job the entire time.

Buying my solids didn’t make your list, but should be mentioned. Slime ball still had the audacity to not ship for over a week and poor George had to follow up like 3 times.

George was the only blessing out of all this. Thank his soul.

Yeah, that was a total shit show!

Here's the link. Everyone should go read this and see how this guys mind works. He joins in midway through page 3.

So I JUST saw his group buy cards thread & thought it was odd he was doing it. And this was BEFORE reading the complete @Hotus777 Player 1 thread. I had stopped reading it right before it got good. (When he was named, turned all snapperheady then turned into Capt. Smegma)

Wow. Thanks for this PSA @chippitydoodah. I would like another set up of EPT but will decline doing any business with him. I already have enough drama in my life right now.

I was one of the big supporters, I didn't mind people not donating or trusting him but some of the attacks went too far, I assumed the best from another human and figured he was absolutely desperate.

Now, instead of following up with people who ran the auctions and donated and making them whole for getting him rent money, he's buying and selling again and buddying up to new members because he knows most of the other members don't like him. I totally understand desperate situations especially when dealing with immigration, but I can't fathom doing any business before getting that money back once I had some.

He had me blocked, I couldn't comment in any of his threads until someone tagged me in the groubpuy. Honestly the EPTs feel great but marked the first time using them, not worth it for us.

This isn’t generally a community. Hasn’t been for a long, long time. It’s a marketplace with some afficinados/hobbyists.

I’d never give anyone money here unless I’d met them at a meetup, hung out with them, got to know them, and trusted them.

Giving someone money here that you haven’t met yet is no different than just shipping money to a random person on reddit.

I gave help to someone who said they needed it, and then forgot about it. It didn’t come with strings attached or a promise to repay or to do better. What the fuck is wrong with people nowadays, on both sides of this stupid shit.
I’m in Seattle and gave a homeless guy a buck earlier. I don’t expect him to take that money and go to college, I could give two Fuchs what he does with it, it’s his now not mine.

He treats PCF as a marketplace as berg mentioned. Buys low sells high. He isn’t the only member that does it.

However, once you include he has asked for donations, it’s a double whammy and not to mention the trade issue he had w @Hotus777.

I think his heart is in the right place. I think he genuinely enjoys chippin and this site. Just has made a few mistakes.

I think his heart is in the right place.
No idea why you'd think that, but even if it's true, it's worth shit. In that thread where he got called out for begging for cash while holding on to his chips and continuing to buy chips, he said he was doing that because he was smart. As in, its smart to buy low and sell high to the same people who just gave you handouts. He was a real jerk throughout that thread. Apologetic is what he should have been. But he went from defensive to offensive. Or he might have just started out as offensive. Maybe the whole thing was a lapse in judgement caused by financial stress and overwhelming responsibilities. But many of us have been there. Guess what we did? We sold our damn chips.

I think his heart is in chippin I should say, and I enjoy others that enjoy their passion/chippin.

But you guys are correct, his heart isn’t in it for others or the community.

So if you found out that he wasn't actually homeless, that he had a nice home and car because he was a professional panhandler who was pretending to be homeless, you'd be cool with that?

??? Why would I care what people do with their money? Or how they get their money, whatever their “job” is.

I already raised kids. I don’t need to be in control of anyone else’s life or financial decisions. I make mine and live with them.
