PCF Shows (3 Viewers)

I wouldn't call it shocked. I was surprised. I think I'm through three episodes. I like it. I think it will get better once it finds its footing. I agree with your sentiments about the movie.
Graphic novel>TV series (so far)>Movie

Although I agree on the lack of surprise death, I think the show has a lot of potential. My favorite part is that the main characters all seem to have depth. Through three episodes, it’s hard to tell who are the heroes, anti-heroes, and villains.

This is pointless fun.

Watching "Live In Front of a Studio Audience" on Hulu. They recreated an episode each of All in the Family and The Jeffersons, literally "live in front of a studio audience". Woody Harrelson and Marisa Tomei as Archie and Edith, Jamie Foxx and Wanda Sykes as George and Louise. If you're old enough to remember the shows, it will be a trip down memory lane. But even my 22-year-old son loved it.

Also, The End of the F***in World is grim, human, and oddly funny. Terrific show!

I really liked the first season. Haven't watched the second season yet.

My wife and I watched the mini "Dracula" series on Netflix. Three parts, each 90 minutes long. It took about 30 minutes to grab a hold of me. Once they introduced the van helsing it really picked up. The back and forth before Dracula and Van Helsing is worth the watch. Very well done.

Watched the Netflix series "It's Bruno" last night, because my wife wanted to watch the cute dog. :D

It's 8 short episodes, about 2 hrs. total. Quirky, funny, and enjoyable.

We watched the series finale of "The Good Place" this morning. Very solid ending. I'm kind of sad to see it end after 4 seasons. It was a lot of fun. The character arcs over the 4 seasons were a blast to follow.

"The Pharmacist" on Netflix is a documentary, that almost plays like a crime thriller. Really compelling story.

Season 5 “Better Call Saul” begins tonight. Damn, it’s been soooo long in between seasons I’ve forgotten what was going on!
I just started watching Better Call Saul, after hearing a sterling review of the series on NPR. I just hope it contains the same kind of finite story arc that Breaking Bad had. I usually prefer to binge-stream already completed series so I dont get drawn down another endless series of episodes whose only purpose is the keep making the producers money (i.e. Walking Dead).

My son has been hassling me to watch Breaking Bad for a couple years. I held off because I knew I'd get hooked and binge the whole thing, and I wasn't prepared for that kind of time commitment. I finally broke down, and it did not disappoint. The writing, the cinematography, the acting (especially Cranston!)--it's amazing! Maybe the greatest TV show ever?
