Mental Nomad
Full House
This is Khaleesi. She is about 9 weeks old and we believe she is a Samoyed or American Eskimo
Any updates? What did she grow into?

Thanks for asking. Well, pretty certain she's not a Samoyed. She's about 12 pounds at 4 months old. I think she may be a cross between a Shiba Inu and an American Eskimo, others have said Pomsky (Pomeranian-Husky). Honestly, still not sure.Any updates? What did she grow into?

(Just had to show the last picture of her full mounting her Dachshund brother, Wally. Not fair picking on the short legged dogs [emoji3])

This is Pepper. She is an 18 month old Blue Heeler cross. She was rescued from an elderly lady who wasn't taking care of any of her 30+ cats and dogs. Rescued at 6 months old, placed in foster care for another 6 months and has been living with us for 6 months.
Not sure what she is crossed with but people frequently ask if she is a greyhound cross due to her lean body. Don't have many pictures of her without family members in the frame except one in her crate and a screen cap from a video in the yard.

Been with us for a week but It's gonna be hard to let her go.
She have any tips on training huskies? My brother has one that can get unruly at times. I have tried working with him a bit but I am not over there enough to really make much progress. My sister "fosters" huskies... Now she has 3 huskies lol. Each time I saw her bring one home to foster I said to myself well she's keeping that one too

That's the main thing I have been trying to drive into my brother's head. They were bred to be work dogs and need lots of activity to tire them out. He's not quite a year old so the rare times I do get to train him a bit, his attention span for it lasts about 10 mins. He does fairly well though when I do work with him.Find a way to get them more exercise, especially exercise in a changing environment, like running or long walks. Like some other breeds of dogs, they have a lot of energy and a roaming instinct; failure to satisfy those two things can lead to becoming stir-crazy.
If you can meet those needs a little more, they may become much calmer and more trainable the rest of the time.
