These are my good girls. Denali is a mostly Husky mutt and 12yo. Willow is an Australian Sheppard, Lab, Golden Mutt and 2yo. Denali is a gentle soul who makes friends with absolutely anyone who she sees and Willow is a nutjob. She has massive anxiety and cannot walk in town or anywhere she can see cars. She also requires being super close to me most of the time wedges herself into any nook and cranny I leave open on a couch or bed next to me.

Are you in AK?

Nope. The bucolic scenery is straight NJ.

Denali was my Mom's dog and she had named her after the mountain/park. Always seemed a good choice.

The reaction I get when I ask if he needs to go outside to do his business. It's been averaging 110F out here the last few weeks. I don't blame him for not wanting to go.

Wife bought a chihuahua. It likes me better. Follows me everywhere. Won't let me go to the bathroom alone. Attacks towels while in there.

My wife hates it now. Her name is Roxanne. The Chihuahua, not the wife.

Thought I'd share this for next time you need a pet cone of shame.

My dog has been having eye issues for about 2 months. He's still healing from surgery in both eyes. So it will make a total of about 3 months in a cone every day by the time he's done.

Having Bostons, eye problems is not new to us. All 3 Bostons have had issues before and worn those basic plastic cones. It really digs in and is not comfortable.

So I found this soft material cone on Amazon. The Comfy Cone. All the vets, including the eye surgeon, love it. (I was afraid they would not recommend it)

It comes with removable hard strips if you want it to retain its shape more. (In this pic those strips are in)

Or you can remove those strips and the cone becomes more flexible. Which allows you to fold the bottom so it's easier to drink and eat. Or fold the top over so they can see better etc.

I highly recommend it. No I'm not an Amazon seller lol.

My crazy boy

This pup is a beautiful, peaceful, chow hound. Sure, he’ll eat a hot dog out of your mouth and crush any snack not at least 5 feet high, but he’s a good boy and deserves at least one pollock johnny per poker night!
Get Dewey and Stella together and no counter is high enough....
