Well, folks seem to be into it...so figured I'd throw some more pics. The devil is always in the details.
Raised outlets to keep the backsplash unbroken, under cabinet lights, and frosted glass with in-cab lights are very much worth the extra expense in my opinion.

Extending the backsplash into the window sill with metal edging is a small thing that adds a lot of aesthetic value. Glass tile (instead of opaque/ceramic) with contrasting grout gives a ton of depth in-person that is kind of lost in the pics.

Though we rarely use the microwave we still wanted one. To keep it from cluttering up the counter we paired a kitchen garage with the french door wall oven to maintain the clean lines when the microwave isn't in use...which is 99% of the time.

Since the backsplash was going to be busy, and we definitely wanted a granite island with lots of crystallization, we kept the perimeter counter tops simple and used Calacatta Bellatrix quartz. It was way cheaper than granite and kept there from being too much visual noise.

Alright, I'll shut up now about the damn kitchen now. If you're not into it, sorry for the spam...there's a gazillion decisions and this remodel has been all thought and life consuming for me for the last few months. It's kind of cathartic to just get it all out
