Either one is great, but I think I prefer the off white one.
So do you mean the "White" or the "Gray?" Lol

I edited my original post. I meant to say, "either $1 is great".So do you mean the "White" or the "Gray?" Lol
Here's two different takes on the same set that I've worked on over the past couple days. Yes, it's extremely crude, and not everything is sized/matches/lines up perfectly, but it's a decent enough representation of what I'm looking to do.
Struggling with a couple things:

- Set #1 vs. Set #2, as a general comparison. I like the added color in Set #2 but I appreciate the simplicity of Set #1.
- 1" vs. 7/8" inlay - I think I prefer the 7/8" in Set #2.
- Which $1 to go with in either set... Set #2 has a Bright White edge spot in the same spot on every chip, so I'm leaning toward keeping that consistent. If I went with Set #1 (only 1 color on edge spots), I could go either way. If I went with the white $1 chip in set #1, I'd change the edge spots on the $5 chip to white.
- $20 vs $25 chip in either set... prefer to do a yellow $20, but don't love the color combo on the $20 in set #2.

Any suggestions or glaring mistakes are welcome, would appreciate any input.
I'm getting hung up on the back to back similar blue shade spots on the $1 and $5
You'll see this when you get the color sample, but one recommendation I'd have for the quarter would be retro over dark blue. Dark blue is almost black, for a base color I find retro blue much more interesting.
What stakes are you building this set for?
Yes, I would definitely change the edge spots to white on the $5 if I went with the white $1 chip in Set #1.
I was using the picture in your loaner sample set thread to somewhat guide my color selection. I like Retro Blue too, I would definitely have no problem using it. For whatever reason, I feel like I can't get away from the White and Green (Light or Dayglo) spots on that quarter, it's my favorite chip out of both sets. I would definitely consider moving away from white on the others, though. Your revised $20 and $100 in Set #2 were both exactly what I had in mind if i DID decide to move away from white edge spots.
I had .25/.50 in mind when designing this particular mockup, so obviously the $20 and $100 wouldn't see much action (probably only 1 rack of those two chips combined). That's why I'm hung up on the $1 and also trying to figure out a good spot pattern for the $5. I like the light blue, but I'm not sure there's another color other than white that matches up well with the Red base.
There you go, maybe stick with that dark/retro blue with white & green combo and work from there. Considering the stakes, you could also move that chip to your $1 chip so your favorite is your workhorse chip, then take the white chip you had and make it grey for the quarter. I admittedly am terrible with mocking up red fivers, & agreed that finding another color to compliment the light blue is tough. DG yellow or DG arc yellow could work. That's thefunTORTURE of tinkering with the chip designer for hours
Given you're a jersey guy, this is probably blasphemy but you could also ditch the red chip altogether and slide the yellow chip to the fiver for a nice cali-colored set.
These look absolutely terrific!
Looks good. The 100 and 25 are too similar tho. Too much green. Here is my first mockup...please let me know what you think good and bad. Still working on inlay design.View attachment 241068
Ya i see that now. I really like the hundo 1/4 pie, so ill have to modify the 25Looks good. The 100 and 25 are too similar tho. Too much green.

If you're actually trying to design a set you might be better off starting your own thread. As this thread was mostly started for fun to share ideas, it will be harder for you to track your changes and feedback from others regarding just your set.
Thanks I will try that. Sorry. I'm still a newbie to the siteIf you're actually trying to design a set you might be better off starting your own thread. No need to apologize... was merely suggesting an approach that will help you in the long run. If you do create your own thread for your set, you're going to see lots of people in this forum help you in the process. And get samples! Thanks I will try that. Sorry. I'm still a newbie to the site
I’m quite sure you can’t copy it, but I believe you can spoof it, so to speak.I really like this label from some crappy chips available from Casino Supply. Not sure what the legalities are when it comes to copying it.

I think I can do some graphical changes for it, but I need to identify the fonts used.I was thinking of translating it to Italian: Casino Imperiale
Then moving the graphics around.
But, that's beyond my current capabilities. I can barely manage cut & paste.

It’s funny, I like edgespot progression on a cash set, but for tourneys I prefer consistent, simple spots, or even solids.Spot progressions seem nonsensical to me. I just can't seem to wrap my head around them. I love color progression, though.View attachment 241199
This set needs to be on the H mold.so I've dialed in my new tournament chip inlay design. I've always loved the Binions WSOP tourney chip logos. Don't think I will be ordering these chips but definitely will be using this on a project that would involve Gear.

Opposite here. Give me as many bright colors and interesting and varied edgespots as possible on a tourney set. For cash sets, I really like solids. It’s funny, I like edgespot progression on a cash set, but for tourneys I prefer consistent, simple spots, or even solids.
