Post mockups for fun/science? (6 Viewers)

Thinking a silhouette set would be cool. something inspired by Archer or older spy movies/shows/novels. Is there something out there like this already? is the idea dumb or something that cant be created? I would need to get someone to do the artwork/inlay for me as I haven't a clue what I am doing.View attachment 1184640
Looks doable. Not sure if there are any illustrators on this board. I hired mine from Fiverr.

Quick experiment in progression.

As denoms increase, colors get brighter (HSLuv), white takes over, and spots increase.

EDIT: Maybe good for hotstamps?

Getting close.. think I am leaning towards the 3916 route even though it’s an L2 and almost the same as 312 at L1. Pretty set on the colors.

25¢, $1, $5, $25

112 - 412 (actually don’t like this at all)

312s aren’t as round as shown in the design tool. Unfortunately I wasn’t smart enough to get 3916 samples.

I’ve been coming back to this inlay forever now and I’ve decided I really want to go old school simple. TRK colors and spots. Thoughts? Yes? No? Maybe?

I love it. Especially love the five-spotted $25.

The only thing that maybe looks off is the regular green and the bright green. Probably just because they are so close together in the picture. Maybe a brown instead of the green on the dime?

I really like your inlay. Simple but not basic, retro but not too much, evocative and dynamic. Very nice.

I am in love with the 10c, these colours work splendidly, even more so on a 1/2-pie. And the 50c is great too.

But… I do not know why, I can't pin exactly what bothers me, but I think that as a set… it doesn't do it for me.
Don't get me wrong, it works, and all in all I like it.
But I think the colours from the white-blue 1$ are too bright for the look and feel of the inlay and the subtle subdued tones of the fracs. I get that there is a progression, so If that is intentional, ignore it and put that on my lack of chip culture and references, but I would love to see it with more "earthy" desaturated colours on the 1-5-25-100.

Working on a new ceramic set. Thought this was a fun "insert" but not crazy about the rest of it.View attachment 1198288
The stars on the outer ring have potential. My instinct is to add a bit more to it. A gradient or an inner star in the background color, something to make it stand out a little more.

Other than that, I do like the concept, only nitpick is that it seems a little too triple-y, and am not sure where the denom will go.

Very simple and understated. How about a hub shaped inlay for this denom?
