Post Your Mockup and I Will Brutally Eviscerate It (With Words) (2 Viewers)

A semi custom rounders set. Last chip is a bounty.

Enjoying the dayglo progression.

Chip 1 and 2 might be tricky for colorblind players in low light.

Very curious to see how the black inlay will work. Maybe color matched image and white denom?
Not sure of a black inlay or not. The 100 is the same I believe as the original. The 500 is originally purple and I thought why not blurple but they are dark.

Not, post your mock up and someone else will fluff it.

Come and take it? No. You can have it.

Why is the dollar sign smaller than the cents sign?

Worst. Chip. Denominations. Ever. Gonna regret not having a $1 or a $5. If it's just to use less traditional colors, just do that with normal denoms.

Spring for bright white. White is just dirty.

Chocolate, Maroon, and then Light Chocolate in three successive chips. And then blurple, which is really dark in person. Gotta brighten it up!

Regarding the dollar sign size: these are crude mocks. When I'm ready the inlays will be worked up for real by a pro.

Regarding the denoms: Yeah.

Regarding br white: Definitely, yeah.

Regarding brightening them up: Made "some" changes... not but not all.

Real talk: there was a color blindness design thread. These color combos hit protan colorblindness hard. It looks like the spots on the 1 and 5 are yellow that are offset vs. the spot being doubled with another color.

Real talk: beige inlay without texture will just look dirty live.

Real talk: that quarter is a nuclear rod. Quarters shouldn't pull the attention for a set.

Real talk: you brightened the .25 20 and 100 so much that the 5 looks really drab.

Overall, 3 points of improvement, 2 points of deterioration. Now, 4.5/10.

These look really tired to me. The $20 is kind of interesting and I disagree with the cat on the quarter, it’s alright. But the $1 and $100 look super blah. There’s tons of yellow blue $1s with yellow spots like that. But it doesn’t feel classic. Just creatively unloved. The hundo feels cramped, rigid, and boring. The story being told but they $20 and the $100 are sooo different.

Oh lmao I’m so colorblind I didn’t notice the other spots on the $1. Do with that what you will

I'm going to go against the grain of this thread and say that I really like this. Except for the $5 which needs better spot colors. So I guess I agree that it is drab after brightening up the other chips. Love the quarter and the $20 best.

Agree on the $5. altered below.

When done for real, the inlays will look like aged/burnt paper; darkening and fraying at the edges and lighter in the centers.

Sorry, @FestiveKnight... I like the hundo as is. ;)

I mean, I've been called worse, but what about the chips?
The $1 is by far the best. Tri-moons and the "discount tri moon" you have on the $5 are non starters. The $25 looks like you ran out of clay colors and did the best you could.

Does this beaver only have a head and a tail on the back of it? Where is his body?

Not my thread, but the color matched beaver on the 25¢ and $1 are really hard to see and process at first. But these are murdered chips and labels, right? Can always swap them out if they don’t work.
