I'm thinking the T10k tournament setup should work fine for 10 players... Thoughts?

I totally forgot about rebuys...Got mine too!
I was actually going over this last night and considered a T15K freeze out for 10 players, but T10K should be fine as well.
If you're doing a rebuy tourney, you'll definitely need more chips, or do a T5K rebuys. I'm not a tourney expert by any means, but it fits the math lol.I totally forgot about rebuys...
Did both the tournament sets sell out?
Right!!!!The pricepoint on the Cincy set made that deal very hard to pass up. Even if you didn’t need a tourney set.
That is interesting. Figured it would be the other way around. Maybe it was the price difference. I was torn between the two. How many sets of each were there?
That’s a truck load of boxes, get the photo of the usps haul!!!!!All labels printed. FINALLY!

Yes. The bank is a little over 180k which means you can probably run a 8 man event with 1 rebuy per player and still have enough for colors ups. Alternatively you can do a 10 man T20k freeze out event with deep stacks for a nice 5 hour+ session depending on how you design the blinds and stuff. So, can you actually do a small 8-10 tourney with the WSOP T10000 set if you want 1 rebuy? Or do you definitely need more chips?
I would totally buy both sets, add on a few 500s and probably even 1,000s and be ready to spread deep stacks. If I were in the market for a tournament set and had around a grand to burn.Yes. Yeah for sure if money isn't a thing than you can definitely improve the breakdown. If you can manage the base 500 chip set and are on a budget it'll work just fine. Ideally, pairing the 500 set and the 300 set would make the breakdown great for up to two tables especially if you add a barrel of T25k and a couple of T500. I think most people are buying this set for the allure of $350 and want to save the money if possible. I'm in that camp for sure.I would totally buy both sets, add on a few 500s and probably even 1,000s and be ready to spread deep stacks. Yeah you can even go T7500 with 25/25 or 25/50 starting blinds and that'll give you up to about 20 total buyins with enough for color ups. I think the breakdown is flexible enough where as long as you design the blind structure appropriately, you can really get good value out of this set. Enjoy the chips! Can't wait to get my hands on them and fill up some empty space on my chip shelf! Thanks @sheikh617 and @upNdown. I bought the T10k set as a "just in case" set when I finally want to try a simple tournament. I also wanted to finally touch some Paulsons. As long as I can run either a small event with a rebuy (capped most likely at the 2 hour mark) or a deep stack, then I'm happy with it.
If I could have bought both sets, I probably would have. Or even split a set as suggested.
Sadly (or not sadly depending on how you look at it), Chanman has all of my money right now. If the answer was "you can use the T10k set, but you really should just add-on a barrel or two", then I would do that. But if I can get away with just the 1 set, then I think it'll be OK.

Total bank is only 185k, and 5k comes off the table when the T25s color up. So I think you meant a 9 man T20k freezeout.Yes. Whoops, I honestly meant 8 man LOL. I was doing the math of 160k in my head and leaving the extra 20k for color ups and what not. Maff is hard.Total bank is only 185k, and 5k comes off the table when the T25s color up. So I think you meant a 9 man T20k freezeout.
I was thinking of tacking on an extra 100 chips myself. Something like 80x 1k and 20 x5k or 60 x 1x, 20x 5k and 20x 25k. Trying so hard to stay away haha.Given the breakdown of the T10k set, is there anything short of buying the 300 chip set in order to get a little more flexibility? Buying some stacks of yellow/grey/browns?
I've been left at home with 4 kids for the past 10 hours (not all mine) and feel I need some kind of reward purchase.
